Very happy with my experience with Dr. Akinwale. He is knowledgeable and helpful it also doesn't take forever to get an appointment which is a huge bonus. He is also quite good at keeping to schedule. The receptionist is friendly.

Recently went into this clinic and was shocked to see how poorly the receptionist treats patients. When I walked in she did not even bother to look up continued to text on her phone for at least 2 minutes until she asked me what I needed. Went in for a shot that insurance did not cover. Was charged 110$ and was then told they only accept cash and that there was an atm across the street at the bar. Strange I thought but either way I went to go get cash and went on my way. The next day my girlfriend went in and they only charged her 60$ for the same shot. When I called to ask the receptionist couldn’t give me a straight answer and then hung up on me. Definitely something sketchy going on. I will say though the doctor was very kind.

2023 the doctor is very friendly, easy to talk to, he listens, but the receptionist is very very rude and disrespectful to patients calling in to make appointments or get information transferred over! I have never had a good personal experience when calling in! because of that I give a Low rating. I think they could find someone more respectful and suited to be a receptionist.

My experience at St. Nobert clinic was outstanding. The receptionist was so sweet and she made sure I was feeling fine before the appointment as well. The team is great. I would highly recommend this clinic.

This Dr Ullah is so unwelcoming, disrespectful, impatient and on top of that a NEGATIVE ATTITUDE.

I went for a complete physical check up and all what I got is a negative attitude from a disrespectful so called a family physician who I think came from a different planet.

So impatient, I was responding to one thing of what she was saying to me but, instead she stared at me and said with this bad attitude: that I was interrupting her a lot and I should wait till she finishes her talk then I can ask questions!!!!

I felt that I was attending a court hearing where I have to stay silent till the judge finishes the speech!!

One time I went for a consultation and she just refused to help me.!!!
I do not understand what kind of a family doctor she is.

i wanted to rate her the first day she started in the clinic but, I just wanted to give her a chance because she was still new but, I had enough of her she doesn't even deserve a ZERO in rating.

I really miss my old family doctor and I wish she stayed in Winnipeg.
I wish I listened to my husband when he advised me not to stay with her.
I should start looking for someone who listens, cares and shows respect.

We have visited this clinic for several years. During that time the doctor has changed several times. As of July 2023, the current doctor is Dr. Akinwale, who replaced the previous (female) doctor in this clinic on Jan 1 2023. He is originally from Nigeria but trained in UK. I found him personable and easy to communicate with. I don't have enough experience with him to rate his medical expertise, so I can't give him top marks yet.
The previous doctor (Shalah Ullah, who moved to Southtown Medical Clinic), had quite the opposite personality, which may explain the negative reviews prior to 2023.
The receptionist (who has been in this clinic for several years) is efficient but her Indian accent is difficult to understand.

The lab is/was amazing there and the girl there is lovely, but as for doctors and the walk in clinic, go elsewhere. They have horrible bed side manner. The receptionist doesn't take her job seriously, and was literally talking on her ear pods while I was there checking in with my sick child. I will never go back.

Receptionist was lovely, but there is good reason the waiting room is empty. If Shalah Ullah were the last doctor in Winnipeg, I would drive to another province and pay cash. I would empty my bank account to pay a cow vet under the table.

She is one of the rudest, most unprofessional, inexplicably confrontational and arrogant people I have ever had the displeasure to meet. She is a bizarre mix of unhelpfulness and quiet desperation to have you ask to be her patient. The receptionist actually called me back as I was leaving, to try and book another appointment. I speed walked out of there.

Ullah would ask a question, then rudely interrupt me mid sentence. She implied I was a liar several times. She refused to accept that being new in Winnipeg, I do not yet have a GP. I explained that it took Family Dr. Finder several months to assign me one---and I am still waiting to get a first appointment. She kept insisting I should see "your family doctor" after this, and interjected I should have a meet and greet with HER. As if. Nasty woman.

Ullah is the only doctor I know of in Winnipeg who is accepting new patients on the spot----and there is a very good reason why. Her rudeness and lack of caring left me breathless. Her dead, flat eyes scared me half to death.

It's too bad doctors can't be disciplined and suspended by the College of Physicians for rudeness. They actually have to physically harm you. All we can do as consumers is warn each other about physicians like this. Just WOW.
