We were at the ER and my wife registered as per the instructions but was not given a wrist band and then waited in the Triage line for two hours without being called up. When she finally asked she was told to go register. Then proceeded to have to wait even longer to be Triaged and then have to wait to be called in. It seems that the hospital management has change or has just dropped the ball with regards to caring for patients!!!
I have to say the nursing staff are good!!

Very kind and efficient. Suspected heart issue. None found. The diagnostics were done very quickly . Start to finish about 3 hours, whereas I had spent more than 4 hours at Royal Alex day before and gotten only to the first phase. Doctor sent me there to be safe and I appreciate that. But felt guilty at taking up emergency room space and time. All staff reassured me that it was best and no need to feel guilty.

My daughter was recently for Jaw surgery. This hospital was absolutely amazing throughout the 2 days we were there. From the nurses at the front door for covid screening, to admitting, to the OR we were so comfortable. The staff after were absolutely amazing. Everyone was always friendly including cleaners.

I am willing to bet I could have driven to Calgary from camrose and received medical attention faster. I’d love to say it was busy but it was not.

Go to daysland or wetaskiwin, way better service, shorter ER waits and parking at those places. St.Marys is terrible
