I paid all my fines off in the beginning of the year, I keep all my paper work filed. When I went to renew my license I was told there was a ticket that needed to be paid but I knew I paid for it. When I called the court house to talk to them about it. They told me that I need a receipt showing each ticket but they only provide a receipt with the total and then she hung up on me. I had to pay an additional $360.

Another incident, I came in to ask a question and the employee gives me a card for a counsellor. I told her that I already have his card and have left him three messages. She proceeded to tell me she cannot answer any questions because she does not know. While holding back from smirking the whole time. I am disgusted with the behaviour and lack of knowledge the staff has there.

The Product(s)/Service: your standard courthouse and everything that it deals with from tickets to cases.

The People: the reception and even the security guard were very nice, helpful, and informative. However, once you get into the court room that's a different story.

First of all, if you are going in to fight a ticket, don't expect to get anything done the first time you show up because all you do is tell them what you want to do and they send you on your way so you can come back and deal with it another day. Very redundant especially with today's technology.

Secondly, the courtroom is a mess and the crown prosecutor doesn't even know how his courtroom works. I was told to go into the courtroom and line up to see the clerk at the front so that's what I did. Sitting right before her was the CP and he asked me what I wanted to do with my ticket which I told him. So he tells me to sit down and wait to talk with the clerk. After seeing 2-3 people just walk in and go right up to talk to the clerk I decided to start a line up where other people in the courtroom got up and stood behind. After this, the CP then started to direct people to stand in after the fact.

From my experience, this courtroom is very confusing and inefficient. And so now I need to come back 2 months later to deal with a ticket I got 3 months ago when it could have been dealt with in 15-20 minutes.

I called two times just to make sure that I had all of my stuff in order before I went to the courthouse and file my order. It wasn't until then that they decided to let me know that it would cost $50 to file. This is the kind of information I called already to find out so I could make sure I was prepared so thank you. Very unprofessional.
