Excellent experience. Got our dog neutered surgery done. They give good Information before and after surgery. Took very good care of my dog. Highly recommended.

My dog got some kind of unwanted accident in Banff and she was limping.
I showed many clinics around her X ray and all said she needed a patella luxation surgery and didn't tell me how much.

After 2 weeks of rest, my pup walked perfectly and I wondered if she still needed a surgery. Then many people recommended this clinic for her and finally I met Dr.Tom. He checked my doggy very seriously with lots of compassion or love and he diagnosed that my doggy didn't need a surgery and said she was in grade 1 now. ( luxation grade)

I was thankful that doctor was so honest about this pet patient and he explained which case the surgery needed. Plus he explained what to do and what not to do with my doggy.

Dr. Tom is the best doctor with his skills as well as love for the animals.

I recently took my dog, Rafiki, to Carstairs Veterinary Clinic for a TPLO surgery, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the care and professionalism of the entire team. Dr. Tom performed the surgery, and his expertise and compassion were evident from our very first consultation.

Dr. Tom took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, answer all of my questions, and ensure I felt confident in Rafiki’s treatment plan. On the day of the surgery, the staff made Rafiki (and me!) feel calm and reassured, which was such a relief during a stressful time.

The surgery went perfectly, and Rafiki’s recovery has been smooth thanks to the detailed post-op instructions provided by Dr. Tom and the team. The app they have to update the progress is so lovely and Dr Tom alwyas took the time to respond to any of my concerns.

I’m so grateful to Dr. Tom and everyone at Carstairs Veterinary Clinic for giving Rafiki the best care possible. If you’re looking for a skilled and compassionate vet, I highly recommend them!

Dr Renee was very good to deal with our recent injured pet. She went through all the ways forwards and the costs of each before going ahead. Intake is great, detailed invoice and friendly staff. Pleasure to take our pet there.

We had to take our black lab for knee surgery. Although they were a little less expensive than the VCA hospitals, the work and care they provided for my baby, was 10 stars. Definitely worth the drive for that high of quality of care.

Great TPLO surgery experience! Dr Tom got us in right away and thoroughly explained the surgery and recovery process. Our dog is back to full functioning and the healing went amazing. The only recommendation I would offer is to review the app against some of the other post-operative care and rehab instructions as there was some inconsistency, but this was incredibly minor.

Amazing vet, can’t recommend enough. Our primary care vet in Calgary recommended Dr. Tom for TPLO surgery. He took amazing care of our Bea, and the staff was lovely. I was definitely nervous about surgery but the whole team was very kind and patient with me. When I had questions post op I got quick replies. While I hope Bea doesn’t need another surgery if she does I will 100% go back to Dr. Tom. Super affordable too especially considering the quality of care.
