This place doesn’t pick up your phone call on purpose and if you try walk in the receptionist up front has no social skills and is completely illiterate at what she does. A business can pick up 1/10 phone calls and say we are not taking walk ins, or give a decent answer instead of leaving a voicemail and we’ll get back to you in 2-3 business days. What’s the point of a receptionist if they can’t simply answer a phone call? What! Then she proceeded to recommend walking over to the pharmacy and giving her own medical opinion. Do better.

Was experiencing lower left abdominal pain in December and our regular GP was away for holidays so ended up here at the Kinniburgh Family Medical Clinic. They didn't want to accept me as a walk in and kept trying to get me to try another location. They said the Doctor in charge of walk ins that day had already left for the day at noon. Went back the following day before they opened and was told they couldn't guarantee a walk in appointment because they were already filled up yet I was there before anyone else. Got in to see Dr Hossain who sent me for ultrasound. I asked him and the front desk staff to make sure they would get results. They said yes, they requested results went to them. This was a thursday. Had ultrasound Thursday, followed up with clinic Monday. I called them repeatedly for 2 hours Monday morning. No one bothered to answer the phone. Went to clinic and let them know the phones were not working. They claimed the phones were working fine. Asked them if my ultrasound results had come in. They said no. went to a chiropractor appointment after this and my doctor said she could look to see if my results were posted with my permission. I gave her permission and she said yes the results were in fact there posted. Emailed the Kinniburgh Clinic that I would like an appointment to go over results. Email back stating they still did not have them and they would follow up when they got them.
There was no follow up, call, email from the Kinniburgh Clinic at all and when my GP returned from holidays set up an appointment for follow up as my results required additional ultrasounds, bloodwork, internal investigative appointment and additional appointments!

I’m really surprised with all the reviews. My family and I has been seeing Dr. Hossain for about a year and he has been great. He always listen to my concerns, and found out an issue with my thyroid and referred me to a great Endo, and in a timely manner. I definitely had worse experiences with other doctors. No complains so far!

I took my mom to her appointment for Dr. Houssain to fill out some paperwork she needed for work and she needed more time on her leave of absence. He told her he would fill them out and she needs to come back on Monday around 3 or 4 to pick them up (this was Friday) and told her that her reasoning for time off isn’t a good enough reason and that her job will just fire her (which isn’t true). Went to pick up the forms and he needed to see her, only to sit there and watch him fill out the forms right in front of her. Complete money grab and an abuse of our healthcare system. This doctor doesn’t care about anyone and will find anyway to get money out of you and the government. Absolutely appalling. Do not go here if you can help it. Also the receptionists are completely awful and don’t care about patients either. Never answer the phone, and one time my mom came in as a walk in for a prescription and he left the building, they forgot about her and the ladies didn’t have a clue. Stay far away from this place.

Really surprised by a lot of these reviews. Dr Hossein has addressed several ongoing issues I've had that other doctors have ignored and dismissed. Being a young woman with several health problems is a minefield with plenty of GPs telling me I just have anxiety. Dr H has never treated me like I'm a hysterical hypochondriac, and has sent me to several specialists that have actually addressed my concerns. Because of him, I've had an MRI, a long-needed surgery, and am seeing a physiatrist after 3 years of begging other doctors to take my knee pain seriously. He filled out my paperwork in front of me, and read each section carefully and asked questions to make sure it was 100% before submitting.

So yeah, these one stars are stunning because he's 10/10.

I have noticed that he is often reading my medical records while I'm speaking, and at first I was a little surprised, but he will then ask me relevant questions that he wouldn't have known to ask unless he was listening.

Maybe some of these... interesting reviewers think that just because he's not staring at you directly in the eyeballs that he's not listening? Lol

I have been seeking a new family doctor and arrived at Chestermere Family Medical Clinic as Alberta Health indicating they were accepting new patients, I was hoping for a female doctor but was informed that the female doctor on staff did not have availability until Nov, so agreed to meet with Dr. Dilip Nandi

My initial appt with Dr. Nandi we asked a few questions regarding general health, I told him i was specifically interested in women's health mainly fertility. He said I would need to get blood work done followed by a physical and pamp test at my next follow-up appt.

My next appt we reviewed my blood work only, which indicated elevated cholesterol, and he prescribed a medication that I'm to take for 6 months when we'll do a follow-up to see if it's helping, there was no physical no pamp, said I would need to reschedule for that.

I schedule the follow-up and during the appt, this doctor had no idea who I was, had not remembered he had sent me for blood work, had already prescribed me cholesterol meds and than had the nerve to say he could prescribe ozempic for weight loss. My the physical was what one might refer to as a sobriety test (bend over, squat, touch you nose, etc), he poked my stomach of times asked if I had a pamp recently (ah that's why my hear), followed up by saying i need to schedule that with a female doctor.

Needless to say I think Dr Nandi needs to learn some doctor-patient etiquette. Perhaps he should review the files before entering the room and seeming like a complete idiot.

So it's not been 1.5 months and the reason for seeking a family doctor has still no been addressed, and first availability for the female doctor isn't until late Nov.

I'd highly recommend you look else where for women's health concerns

Their website says they are accepting new patients and walk ins are welcomed. I was denied saying Dr Rupina is not seeing anyone new. They could update their website and phone advertisement so one doesn’t waste their time.

From their website:
“Dr. Hossain and Dr. Rupina are accepting new patients. Please call our clinic to book an appointment or send us your appointment request through website. Our clinic is also accepting Walk-in patients.”

I would give a zero star if I could. Terrible clinic with policies that do not serve patient needs. Will be finding a new dr asap. DO NOT ATTEND THIS CLINIC if you are looking for competent practitioners that make you feel comfortable in their care and actually listen to your needs. Not genuine. Simply Terrible.
