This location has terrible quality of produce & lacks options/selection of items that can for certain be found in other no frills. For such a nice town, one that is supposed on the higher end side of quality of living - this store needs to step it up in these areas. I often find it dirty & many bad berries on the shelf. If I go to the frills in Calgary, I get much better quality & selection of items for low cost & dont have to make multiple stops for groceries.

I'm back in Cochrane for a few months. This No Frills location always has plenty of parking. For the most part, snow is cleared, and parking spaces are clean and accessible. The store is well laid out and always kept neat. The staff is always available, pleasant, and helpful. I will visit again on a regular basis.

Overall the store is clean, nice staff. However the produce is not great. Often produce is moldy, old, etc. Certain produce is left until a few are left, at full price and its clearly old. Most produce I get goes bad in a day or two unless it's packaged, or bananas.

The produce section is not good. Mandarins are moldy, apples are not good.
The meat section is empty.
There are TONS of expired products on the shelves. The first time I went I ended up feeding my 10 months old expired crackers without realizing it. I went back 2 months later and AGAIN, expired bread, expired brioche, expired pasta.
The gate situation is abysmal especially if you are shopping by yourself with little ones, they have basically created a little jail you can hardly get out of if you choose to go through the automatic register.
All of this to go home to moldy produce and expired bread. For the same price or even more than safeway 😂

I’d be extra cautious when buying meat at this location. Bought a pack of chicken with a BB date of Oct 18th. When I took it out of the fridge on Oct 14th, I had noticed that the package had smaller stamp with a BB date of Oct 12th, the day I purchased it. Than I realized the store label was re printed with a date of Oct 18th and put over the origional label with a date of Oct 12th.
whether or not I want to eat food past the BB date, that’s my choice, not the stores.
That’s 6 additional days, how dare you no frills, I won’t be buying meat here anymore, not with these shady practices. Buy and beware, make sure your labels are original, and not just over an old one.
No frills fishy chicken, No thanks!

Good pantry and frozen selection- in and out very fast
