Contrary to popular belief - March - November does not equate to 1 year. Also, if you feel the need to lie, please don't make it EXTREMELY easy to point it out.

After reading some other reviews, it saddens me that I agree 100% with regards to the reviews that talk about extremely poor treatment towards clients. To be fair, there are problematic clients as well.

It really bothers me when people know very little about their job, and feel the need to lie and purposely hinder your progress. I've been on ODSP for a long time. I've also received coverage for transportation (taxi service) to medical appointments.

In the past few years, this seems to have been one of my biggest issues, as well as being able to login to 'My Benefits'. I had multiple important medical appointments, that I couldn't afford to miss, and I have 1 tomorrow. I live quite far from where my medical specialists are located, so it can be extremely expensive, should I ever have to pay out of pocket.

Apparently my taxi service was either cancelled or expired, depending on who you speak to. Luckily enough for me, I had a digital copy of the application that I had to send to my caseworker last year, because it had expired. My understanding is that if it indicates that the service you require is ongoing, then there's no reason it should expired or get canceled. The only way either of those 2:things can occur is if your medical situation has changed, or if your caseworker requests an updated medical document that indicates your medical condition has changed.

I haven't been able to get a hold of my caseworker at all, even after leaving numerous messages. If it's an emergency, you're informed that someone in the front can assist you, so that's the route I took, and wish I hadn't. I explained the above situation and was told that my application was received earlier in the week and was reviewed. So I said thanks, and asked, is there a reason that it hasn't been re-activated?! It seems that question triggered something and I noticed a change in the individual's tone and treatment towards me.

I was told that my caseworker had just come back from vacation, after I said I had been trying to get in contact with no avail. The strange thing was that the return date for my caseworker kept changing the more I inquired about my application. Also after explicitly being told that my application has been reviewed, the individual said that I needed to account for the backlog. The backlog of what exactly?! Considering my application had already been approved. I was then told that I should consider myself lucky because I got an initial extension and my application was due to expire last November. They told me that they only last for a year. They acknowledged that my previous application was sent just shy of the beginning of March and that a year was up in November. I didn't bother saying anything, because at that point, you're just abusing your power. After telling them that I have an extremely important medical treatment that I can't afford to miss, and that I have no money left to get down there (after already spending 280$ out of pocket on Uber, just so that I could get to my other two previous appts), I was met with a leave a message and give them time to get back to me. So I said I can't and was told it wasn't their problem.

I will be sure to follow up on this and make certain that this matter is rectified. They need to stop abusing their power and taking advantage of their power. It's a shame, because there are some good workers at this location.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and communication from Arthika at the ODSP Brampton office. Over the course of three weeks, I left five voicemails for Arthika, but I never received a single callback, despite her voicemail stating that calls would be returned within 24 hours.

To make matters worse, my intake forms were only mailed on March 5th, and I have yet to receive them. With a March 12th deadline, this leaves me barely any time to complete and return them. The lack of responsiveness and unreasonable delays have caused unnecessary stress.

ODSP should hold its staff accountable for timely communication and ensure applicants are given fair deadlines. No one should have to chase down basic information about their own case.

They violate human rights and they do not do what clients ask. For instance my spouse changed her address and has put it in writing and has stated it verbally to which they still ignore. People should be fired who break client and worker privacy and privileges, as well as disrespect clients on the phone and in person and workers that allow people to use a person’s disability in any way to get control of their clients finances and any worker that don’t want to work with their clients in a respectful and professional manner to resolve the issues that their clients are facing should not be allowed to work with people with any form of disability and should be not allowed to work with people that have challenges.

I wish I was able to give negative star, by far the worse experience I've dealt with. They are very lack of basic, unprofessional and unapologetic. I've gotten hung up on, cut off mid conversation by transfer, very unhelpful. It's Impossible to get a hold of your worker, they don't inform you when you're assigned a new worker, they don't inform when important documents are expired or need renewal, THEY NEVER CALL BACK ! This is people's lives you guys are dealing with be a little more empathetic. Been dealing with this for 3 years now, it's unacceptable.

Would give 0 stars if I could. You won't believe my experience, you would think that I am making it up or exaggerating, but I'm not. Worst Disability Support Program and Workers I have ever met. I am seriously amazed at how much abuse I have been through with this office and at the hands of a disability support worker by the name of Flossy Johnson she not only made my life more difficult after suffering from a disability and depression. I was expecting to be treated in a positive and supportive manner, but instead I was met with complete hardship, an attitude of indifference towards me and my condition, was unbelievably rude, I needed supplies which were pre-approved free of which were diapers and bowel supplies which she was determined to cut me off of due to a clerical error on her part. One of the supplies was for adult diapers, when I asked her what I would do without them if I were to be cut off. She she told me to live with my used diapers until I was re-approved hot the new ones. I have depression and anxiety disorder and she made me feel like I was worthless I was seriously considering to hurt myself because of her comments and actions. Worst Disability Support Office I have ever been to. After complaining about the incident to her superiors I was given a break on my issue but even her manager/supervisor was rude and unfriendly. She handled the situation but I felt it was in reluctance as if they all hated their job. I only received help after complaining about them to 2 other disabilities support organizations which contacted their office on my behalf.

I moved to Toronto then back to brampton I couldn't give them the address where I was staying so they cut me off back in May now I'm living on my car with family and dog. They said they were going to hook me up with a worker and they want forms filled out for special diet but when I go online it says I'm not on odsp I'm confused am I on odsp or not. Tried to call my old worker before I went to Toronto but they won't pass me forward.i havent had my 💊 since may.

Unbelievable this is a government facility honestly ridiculous!!! These people don't do anything I'm looking for.a.lawyer I'm a sick person these people have my medical paperwork completed by my dr and new info on.my my health yet they continue to run me around they are straight up messing me up more I have started to look for a lawyer go figures people who.actually need odsp get screwed around and the fraudsters get it unbelievable they don't do nothing but play games.with people
