If you’re in the area. Stop here. The avocado toast is literally amazing. I’ve had it five times in two weeks. It’s so cozy and welcoming. You kind of feel like you’re in a hallmark movie. All the salads and baked goods are wonderful and they also sell many local cheese, charcuterie and wines!

I have been here multiple times and every time has been great. Service and staff are very friendly and quick. The atmosphere of inside is very European and quaint, it is very much a small town cozy cafe with small seating. They also have a patio outside to enjoy the fresh air from. There is a large selection of drinks and a good selection of food considering how small the cafe is. The food and drinks are a little on the pricier side however it is a local business and it's understandable and the quality is too good to complain. Alcohol is served here as well along with baked goods, take-home meals, and other local products such as condiments and snacks. Highly recommend the crepes, cream of mushroom soup, and the potatoes.
I love coming here and fully intend to return again 🙂

Absolutely delicious and the staff are super friendly. They even accommodated my very customized order. If you go, I highly suggest getting a grilled cheese and asking them to add chicken. they only had pesto chicken and it made my sandwich all the more delicious. It’s so nice to find home-cooked food instead of having to go to a retail chain for your lunch.

I discovered this wonderful cafe during the Bridge Street Summerfest. I really liked the decor, while the affogato and croissant that I ordered were delicious. This is a fun spot that I look forward to visiting again.

There is so much to love about the Good Food Company!
First, and most importantly, the people who work there are kind, attentive, customer-focused, and know how to make a great cuppa coffee!
Next, the food; I'm a creature of habit and usually go for a savoury scone with my coffee. The scones have just the right amount of satisfying "crunch" on the outside, followed immediately by the tender, fresh, warmth of the perfectly seasoned inner goodness. The coffee, always spot-on.The other day, my eyes were drawn to these carrot-cake muffins with Chai spiced icing. I fully intended to take this treat home, really, I did. Then, I asked if they had any forks to go. After I left the GF Co and turned right to go to my car, a park bench called out to me. I sat there with my carrot-cake muffin in the clear take-away container. I swear it spoke to me...then, taking just the right amount of time to savour the experience, I no longer had a carrot-cake muffin to take home.
Truly, the consistent goodness of their food products cannot be overstated.
Lastly, the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. You can purchase products from other wonderful local businesses while inside. Then sit to enjoy your meal or snack on their patio or at a cute table for two in the cozy courtyard-like alleyway beside the building.
When you're in Carleton Place, or if you're passing by, it is well worth your while to stop by the Good Food Company. Just leave one carrot-cake muffin for me, please!

Stopped by on our way to Ottawa for a late breakfast and coffee.
Had the breakfast poutine which was to die for. Amazing food and good prices. Very nice staff. They have booze from local breweries and distilleries....though it was too early to indulge.
