Dr. Joshi doesn't really care about patience. She wants to go into long explanations of your illness with some excuses as to why she doesn't want to prescribe what you need. I have extreme anxiety which is documented & I have supplied my medical history but she doesn't bother to look at it at all. She would rather give you her opinion and if you speak out of turn she pretends that you've become threatening to her. She has berated me at every appointment. Anyone who has had similar treatment from her I suggest calling the college of physicians and lodging a complaint. I have never in my lifetime had a doctor who gives such anxiety. If she is the only doctor available at this clinic I suggest you move onto somewhere else.

The building is brand-spanking NEW, state of the art technology included. Grandview has made the move next door and there's so much new here! Making a Doctor appointment is super easy on their website or you can call as well.
They've streamlined, upscaled and made great changes to help make our lives easier. It truly benefits us all.
I have to revert to my previous post about Grandview Medical Family Health..I don't think I can top that excellent review.

I have been coming to this office for a few years now and i have always had a great experience! Dr. A Pennell is wonderful!! She is now my husband and baby’s doctor and i couldn’t be more happy. the nurses are also so kind and in my opinion have gone above and beyond for us.

I absolutely love my doctor. I have also had other great experiences with oncall doctors at this practice and have been going here since I was born. HOWEVER, the reception staff are absolutely miserable. I've been called several times to re-book baby wellness appointments for my son because apparently the online booking is not integrated with the nurses schedule Calling back, it takes a minimum of a half an hour on a good day to actually get through to a human being. The receptionists are absolutely incredibly rude and do not listen to what you are actually asking for. There is a particularly incompetent one that kept me on the phone for 20 minutes to look things up in the system just to tell me that she couldn't change my appointment times. It should have taken 2 minutes. This was after waiting 40 minutes to talk to her. Unfortunately, they know that there are not really any other options in the area and so we are forced to perpetually deal with a terrible booking system and the most incompetent receptionist known to humanity.

If I could leave a zero star or a negative rating I would! Absolutely ignorant, incompetent and unprofessional fill in doctor! Public should be very alarmed if a doctor would leave a patient stranded with issues of this nature. Seen a fill in doctor for less than 5 mins who refused to refill script that was essential to my mental health management. Had experts from this field prescribe but wanted to take me off without background of the situation. The experts worked with me for years but this doctor decided he knew better after 5 minutes and didnt't care to even read supporting dox from the professionals provided and on my file. Shame! Shame! This doctor had no expertise in this field leaving me shocked and outraged by making such a radical decision with no plan. I had been on the same medication for over 9 years, the experts in this field know, it worked and suddenly the fill in doctor is pulling medications without even knowing me, my issues and the ramifications of doing such a sudden thing! Very dangerous to any patient by a doctor doing this. No alternatives were presented, just stopped without any plan! Do u know what happens when mental health meds are suddenly pulled after such a long time?!!! Any competent doctor knows this. Shame! Shame! Shame on you! What kind of care is this. No wonder why this place has so many bad reviews. Making a situation way worse and potentially causing a more serious and dangerous situation. Why would doctor put a patient in a situation like this that is very bad for them? This is why our overburden system is clogged up. If it ain't broken don't fix it! Shame!! Ppl please take notice. This is not necessary and gives Grandview a terrible reputation! Shame on you!

To begin not only is the receptionist Administration and nursing staff completely unqualified to work behind the desk or even a telephone of any doctor's office let alone Grandview Medical Center one of the worst doctors offices in the Tri-City area clearly as shown by the reviews.
Due to the Canada Post strike I was hand-delivered by Courier a letter from Grandview Medical Center stating from my doctor that I was being dropped as a patient. I had nothing but issues with this doctor's office and Dr filling my prescriptions. Be prepared to feel like you are not a valued patient and for the worst patient experience of your life and not to be dramatic I've never called a doctor's office waiting on phone for 45 minutes to have somebody answer with an Abrupt hello not even clarifying the extension completely unprofessional in my eyes. Additionally doctors here are known to be late and appointments are never on time new building means new parking fees and good luck trying to get a referral out of any of your doctors I had better luck going to the emergency department in the hospital and getting a referral there being put on a cancellation list to receive treatment as soon as possible was told a year and a half ago to just use a sinus nasal spray help with the issue instead of going to see an ENT. I made a phone call because I had a referral they said they were booking 2 years out are you available sooner I said yes they got me in November 19th my surgery is February 7th took almost 2 years to get nowhere with my doctor save yourself the hassle go somewhere else where the people are qualified and actually care.

PS the receptionist staff will blame you if no paperwork comes in from Pharmacy or blood work or any other issues is normally on you

After reading the reviews it sounds like Forbes medical from a few years back. Free healthcare in Canada is an even joke. I’m from the states. And didn’t have medical insurance for most of my life. But. It is so much better than Canada. You get service right away. And they bill you. Sure it’s expensive ( like really expensive) but you don’t wait. I needed stitches in my scalp I was in and out in 40 mins. But it cost me $900. And I got another bill for $500 for an emergency room visit. I was in a car accident, broke my elbow and had lacerations on my face and arm and hip. The entire ordeal took under 4 hours but I was billed $22000.
I have as diagnosed with liver disease Nov 2023. I still have not seen a specialist. It’s been 9 months. I will probably die before I see a doctor. And we’re taxed 43 cents on every dollar for what? Canada, with all the taxes you need to do better.

Update: today is January 28th 2025. I still have not seen anyone regarding my liver. But I now have an appointment set for the end of march. Literally 17 months after being diagnosed I will get to see someone. Still no medication or anything other than the original blood test and an ultrasound.
So glad they told me how important it was that I take care of this right away to avoid it from getting worse: no advise on how to change my lifestyle, no change in diet advice from any medical professional.

Also I’d like to add that I applied for a new doctor during the summer when I wrote the original review. I applied at the nurse practitioners in DT Galt. I will also do a review for them. But I just got a letter stating that I need a letter from my current doctor with my records and reason for switching. They already know that I don’t have a doctor and that’s why I applied for a new one. At this point, I think I’m better off asking a child to diagnose me or a random person on the street. At least I won’t have to wait and it will probably be about as accurate anyway.

My advice just stay healthy. Our government is a joke on what they’ve done to our healthcare system is sad.

Really messed up. I went to the clinic to get some documentation done concerning my child’s health, and they charged me $100. And the time my doctor spent for going through and signing my documents was one minute. I had to give them $100 for one minute of her time. Can this be even more absurd? Really pitiful.
