Poor workmanship. Delays (double the estimate). Quote changed when I went to pick up and pay. I don’t mind paying the high cost if the workmanship is good but this was a brutal experience. It looks like a toddler performed this work. Find another business who provides this service. Don’t waste your hard earned money here.

Thrilled that my Late Mom's lamp will likely see another 60 years thanks to the wonderful restoration job done. New wiring, new harp, new socket, new lamp shade, all done as planned with my appointment (while I wait at the recommended nearby Scottish bakery). Thank you so very much!

Dave went out of his way on Christmas Eve to fix 4 special lamps for me, in time to get my guest bedroom ready for Christmas visitors. His shop offers a collection of eclectic lighting options. I looked around while I waited for his quick repair and I heard many customers say that he was the only one who had what they were looking for. He says he does a lot of online sales and repairs as well as selling lighting. If u go to his shop in person check out the incredible Tiffany stained glass table lamp in the front and the Alpha man in the back. High recommend. Dave knows what he is doing and is fair in price.

We arrived on schedule, for a confirmed appointment, to find the store closed.
Upon sending immediate email, received text indicating we had been forewarned of cancellation prior to our 3 hour drive to destination.
This notice was not received as declared until after I emailed to complain and inquire about the closed store.
Poor response, w/ lack of professionalism, the storefront looks very shabby with conflicting, hand-written provisions regarding access, walk-in visits versus appointments - not a seemingly welcoming place for customer interaction , as reinforced with the unprofessional text exchange...
We never complain, when service is not as expected but, this was too much, particularly after driving 3 hours to Cambridge for help with our project and product.
We won't be back nor will recommend to others...

So happy to have found The Lighting Guy, he had the knowledge and experience to rehab my very old Handel lamp base to working condition, and it is beautiful again. I will be bringing more bases to his shop.

The Lighting Guy has repaired at least 6 vintage lamps for me over the past few years. That I’m a repeat customer should be an indication of the quality of work he does. Excellent workmanship at a reasonable price. Easy to book an appointment online. If I have another lamp requiring service this is the only place I will go.

I had an antique crystal table lamp which fell down and 2 of the arms broke. I searched online and from the website I thought I'm going to a professional guy to fix it. We drove 1 hour to Cambridge and trusted this guy to fix our lamp.
After picking up the lamp he gave us a totally different shape arm. Even the size doesn't match and instead of telling us he couldn't fix and find the arm he put whatever he found and replaced it with the broken ones, even the sleeves that he gave us won't fit the armst. We also noticed some other part of the lamp is broken too which was not when we gave him the lamp. He has put 2 crystal arms that even the sleeves that he gave us won't fit.

I have tried to contact him several times but he won't reply and ignores all of my emails.
