Dr tillis is an amazing doctor but recent changes with staffing issues is something different! They cancelled our appt that we booked in July for Oct. Dr tillis is NO LONGER with company as per reception. So basically they don't care. They directed me to a different fyi location... Sure. Same corporation but no thanks! Take your business elsewhere future patients!

UPDATE Nov 6: (after office's reply)
nobody bothers to call back in a week! I need to get my child's records! I will be calling the College to complain! This is rediculous! Do not give business to this office!

Had an appointment scheduled for yesterday for a check up to renew my prescription. Arrived at the office to find a sign on the door saying the new office was across town. I rushed across town only to be told the EG office was closed due to staffing issues. no call, no email, no offer to reschedule. FYi administrators have been terrible since taking over.

I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I hope to find Dr Millers new office as she was the only reason I went to that office.

Booked an appointment for my wife and 2 children a couple of months in advance. When arrived there, the receptionists said the appointment was canceled as our doctor is on leave for a while and not coming back anytime soon. Apparently they called my wife 3 weeks before the appointment while she was out of the country and did not bother to call me or send an email or follow up again although they had 3 weeks to do so. Three people working at the front and still failed to notify a client properly. We had to take the afternoon off work (worth $400 of income) and release the kids early from school for this appointment and all they offered was to help find another doctor like I am unable to do so. So disappointing and unprofessional.

Very disappointed to hear that this clinic is now closed and patients were not informed of the closure. Very sad to hear that Dr. Tillis is no longer in the area as I have been going to her for over 20 years. How do we get our records and patients should’ve been informed of the closure well in advance to make alternate arrangements.

Emailed over a week ago, many phone calls during “open” hours only to have the answering machine tell me the office is currently closed and there is no room for leaving a message. And this is only after seeing it posted on Facebook that there is an issue at the East Gwillimbury location. My daughter has an appt end of the month, scheduled since September. We’ve seen Dr Miller for 10+ years and was always great; until the FYI group came along; not a fan. If you’re sending me to a new location/dr then I should be informed. And since I’m wasn’t, please send my family’s files along to my new provider. They will be reaching out.

I had to find out through a Facebook post in an unrelated group that this practice is closed and the doctors left. It’s difficult to find an optometrist that specializes in diabetic eye care, which is why I chose Dr. Tilis, and makes having to find a new eyecare provider extra frustrating. Extremely unprofessional to not notify existing patients of the closure in a timely manner. Very unimpressed with FYI Doctors.

Have been seeing Dr. Miller for over 10 years. Great doctor but the recent changes to FYIDoctors have left this office in bad shape. The front office staff just don't care. From the moment you walk in you can tell you are bothering them. I had an appt in Aug and they called to say Dr Miller was off on a sick leave so it was rescheduled to today (Sept 25). I showed up to an empty office with 2 people sitting at the front desk. They lied to me and said we left you a VM with a new appt date in Oct. They never called to reschedule. From other reviews, I see I'm not the only one this has happened to. After 10 years, I will be moving to a new eye doctor as this location just doesn't care about the patient.

Can anyone tell me where Dr Tillis will now be practicing? I have a lengthy history (and my daughter has unique optical issues as well) and we REALLY like and trust Dr Tillis - I will go where she goes....
