We had been at Rockford Medical for many many years and cycled through many family doctors because they seem to have a revolving door when it comes to family physicians. Our most recent doctor left and the clinic is now charging us to get our own records even though they have no family doctors left and no one to take over our care. Absolutely rediculous. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone.

My husband and I have been with dr Toma for many years. Both the front desk and the doctor have been great with us. The doctor is knowledgeable and gives great advice every time. Whenever we walked-in, we were informed about the waiting times; when we had an appointment, we were taken within minutes from our arrival.

Was very disappointed with this clinic. After googling to try and find a walk in clinic for my daughter, we ended up at this one because it was closest. We were going as a walk in to just be turned away. The lady at the desk said that they are not a walk in clinic. I point to the sign behind her, and she then turned around to see the overhead sign that says walk in. She then proceeds to tell me that it doesn't matter. They are not a walk in.

Don’t bother showing up on time for your appointment. You’ll always have to wait 45 min to an hour after your scheduled time.
I don’t see the point of setting up an appointment at this clinic.

I have been a patient of Dr Toma for several years. It’s undeniable that she is a fantastic doctor. However, it has become a blatant reality that her office is poorly managed and her support staff do nothing to help this matter. Myself and my family members have, on several occasions, been victim to the poor communication and overall mis-management of this office. Her receptionists are difficult to communicate with at the best of times, and have become far too comfortable with “I don’t know” being presented as an adequate answer to patient questions. Covid has only worsened the situation - like many doctors offices, this office has come to rely heavily on phone call follow ups rather than in person appointments. Which is fine. What is not fine is that her office refuses to give any time indication for when the doctor will be calling - simply saying “sometime this afternoon” or “sometime tomorrow.” I would be willing to accept this and move on - however, on a few occasions “sometime this afternoon” has led to a call at 9:00pm at night or no call at all. I am hard pressed to believe that this type of action by a doctor is held as professional in the medical field. When you schedule an in person appointment, would “come at any time” be acceptable? No. Would it be acceptable for a doctor to simply not show up for an appointment with a patient? No. So why is a phone appointment that a patient is relying on for important information and follow up results any different? Clearly Dr Toma has either gotten herself into a situation where she has taken on too many patients to realistically fit in to her schedule, or there is a lack of communication with her and her support staff. Or perhaps, even worse, she has come to disregard her patients time and well being while waiting anxiously for results from her. Regardless, it’s not acceptable and it’s far from professional. If it weren’t for the fact that finding a family doctor is near impossible in this province right now, I would be moving on and leaving a lot of this behind me. Unfortunately, this is not so easy in Alberta’s current medical climate. At the end of the day, all I can say is….do better. Respect your patients time just as you expect them to respect yours. If your office has promised a patient a phone call back, make that call or, at the very least, have someone call the patient to reschedule if things are so far behind that you can’t keep that commitment. Calling a patient at 9:30am to say that Dr Toma will call you that afternoon sometime, and then not hearing anything at all leaves a lot of anxious hours for patients that are waiting on results. Again, do better.

Worst clinic I've ever dealt with, it is very poorly managed. Twice this week they haven't turned on the phone system until 9:30am, so you can't get through even to leave a message. And when you do leave messages, they don't respond. Calls suddenly drop after 5 minutes of waiting on hold. The doctors are good but this clinic runs so bad that the doctors reputations are being ruined. Either their office staff are all terrible OR extremely overworked to the point where extra office staff is badly needed. I'm on several waiting lists for a new doctor because I can't handle dealing with this clinic any more.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Toma since 2015 and we are so happy that she is our family doctor. She is loving and caring. She does so much. We are very thankful, wish we could met her earlier. All the staff that are working in the front are extremely helpful and kind, treating us just like their own family members. I would say this clinic reached 100% of my satisfaction, and I am highly recommending this clinic to everyone.
Although, I knew doctors in this clinic are not working for google rating and google reviews, but I still want to say that I have noticed some people are leaving unfair comments because of some customer service issue. It might be easy for you to write a post about some phone experience, but this is NOT FAIR for a doctor, nor their clinic, who are capable to do a lot more than phone exp. Others are going to use your comment to determine whether the doctor is qualified to treat them. That is a much bigger responsibility than helping someone to decide whether a restaurant is a hit or miss.
Guys, do you know, the doctors are so busy seeing and helping their patients that they don't even have time to have a proper lunch, and that is why I sometime see they are chewing a bit of food in between their patient. They work so hard by providing help to our health, making sure we are ok and skipping their lunch. I can go on with more examples, but I think I made my point.

Dr. Lily Toma is a very good Doctor. She put in the time to make sure she understands your condition. She really cares about her patients. Highly recommended!
