I came for help, more than once. Just food. I'm an immune compromised HUMAN BEING! I got frozen freezer bags of freezer burnt precooked sausages. And expired food. None nutritional. I have diabetes, long COVID and Cancer. And I can't take a chance on my life. You left me in the front door as you walk in, and threw nothing but non nitrous foods. Sugars, everything was expired. You aren't the only one to be horrid and a nightmare, but you were the worst in Tazewell County. The person who did this, was as cold as ice. Not once but 4 times. Where are your funds coming from? And it's actually a zero. Phhht! Honestly that's just wrong. I didn't see God those days...

Huge thanks Pekin for the use of ur facility! If that wasn't arranged by people just for me, than it must have been God! My guess, both! It was exactly what I needed and a blessing room across the st. How convenient! God has blessed us all so much! So grateful!
Headed to some big cities and a lil nervous, hope I'm welcome back if it's too much for me! It just felt like getting out of the rat race! After OKC salvation army, I almost didn't ask y'all for help, but now I'm so glad I did! Thank you so much for the love and kindness in ur hearts!

I wouldn't even give this place 1 ? but it did keep my daughter out of the rain a few times.. the staff is very very unprofessional and they love to humiliate you when your already down. Also they love to tell your private medical businesses. I wouldn't send my dog there that's for sure. This place is supposed to be for the poor and unfortunate but they pick and choose who there Little favorites are. It's just unreal.

They never call me back. I've called several times. I need help paying my water bill. I feel as if they look at everyone in pekin like a lame that won't get a job and pay their bills but I've been trying, I need help and rarely ask for help but when I do it's bc I need it. It's not in the name of Christ to pass judgement on sometime who's succumbed to an fallen on hard times 🙁

Since years ago when my house burnt down and I tried to recieve help from the local Salvation Army, I have not been a fan. When I went in to this place the lady behind the glass window seemed more involved with filing her nails than trying to help me. As I told her my situation with tears filling in my eyes, she just had a look on her face as if she was annoyed of my existence. After I finished she simply tells me theres nothing they could do. She didnt even give me any references to where I may have been able to seek assistance, not even a sorry or anything. I felt like I wasted my time breath and energy. Since then I have not donated and never will.
