Arrived at Minden walk-in clinic shortly after 1000…..I acknowledge I am seeking HC at a walk-in clinic in rural ON in the midst of a provincial health crisis but…….upon entering the facility I am overwhelmed with signage that doesn’t tell me the most important thing (pic up a number at the entrance and wait to be called to register)…….that information is shared by a fellow patient…..ok I am number 16…..now, it’s 1320 and I am registered but am waiting to speak with a triage nurse re reason for my visit…I’ve spent 3 hours in the waiting room (and counting) where I have witnessed extraordinary inefficiencies, irritability and most loathsome of all preferential care for a camper from summer camp……are my expectations unreasonable? Will provide feedback to the facility re today’s visit and hopefully more commentary here……and yes my feedback will include insight and suggestions……I am not just a ‘complainer’!

My husband had to go to Emerg yesterday due to a broken rib. The treatment he received was amazing from start to finish. From the triage nurse, x-ray department to the treating physician Dr. D Fiddler was amazing. His beside manner was fantastic and his thorough assessment of my husband's health status went above and beyond.
Thank you to all at our wonderful little hospital.

My 2 year old son had to take an ambulance ride last night to the Minden Hospital. The paramedics that picked him up were sweethearts, he had so much fun in the ambulance. The nurses at the hospital took such good care of him, singing to him, keeping him smiling, entertained, and as distracted as they could. It was a very quick visit compared to other emergency rooms I have been in. I appreciate the staff so much for how well they took care of my boy and for a first ambulance ride and hospital visit he had an absolute blast because of them!

We visited Emergency today with our daughter. It was our first visit to this hospital as we just moved to a town near by and our experience was amazing. Willow (my daughter is also named Willow!) greeted us at the door and was so friendly and kind and helpful. She made my daughter and my husband and I feel so welcome which is so refreshing and appreciated in a situation like an emergency room. We were taken in immediately and the staff we encountered were all so friendly and helpful. Dr. Mcclennan was kind and efficient. She gave my daughter the medication needed and answered all our questions. Thank you Dr. Mcclennan. We are grateful for the wonderful experience.

Minden Hospital ER saved my Hubby, the quick work of the Dr sent him to Peterborough Hospital for a much needed stent. Thank God his expertise caught the problem. The nurses and Drs there are amazing

I had an amazing experience here. I was cottaging with my family from way out of town and was struggling with a throat infection that my local clinic was not helpful or concerned about. After coming to the cottage and it got worse, I decided to visit the ER, expecting massive wait times. When I got to triage in the morning there was no one there, I was checked in quickly and thoroughly and given a comfortable room to wait for a doctor. Dr. De Francesco (spelling?) was patient, thorough, took my condition seriously, all while being lighthearted and making my experience more comfortable. She tested my blood and gave me IV antibiotics (also the nurses who helped me out with this were incredibly friendly and kind), she gave me something to manage my pain, and she called the Peterborough hospital to have an Ear Nose and Throat specialist take a look at me. I am so grateful to the way the whole staff at this hospital treated and took care of me. Thank you

Been here 3 times this past year. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Best experiences at a hospital...ever.

Dr. Fiddler is amazing. His beside manners are 2nd to none.

We all need to stand together to keep this place open and available to all that need it.
