My beautiful aunt had just undergone a massive surgery in Regina and on the way home (2 hour drive) my uncle stopped to purchase a mobility chair for her recovery.
I understand it was an extremely expensive piece of furniture and when I helped unload the chair we found a manufacture defect on the bottom of the back of the chair; where the fabric covering does not extend to the entire back of chair.
We took a picture as we unwrapped the chair and called the store immediately. Within an hour the store replied to the picture they asked us to send that they could do nothing for them as the receivers from the back that wrapped the chair did not see an issue. They would then offer no compensation for the defect!
To top this experience off this chair was chosen from the floor as a model and no discount offered! Which I could not believe and then to offer NO compensation for the defect was shocking! No discussion, no compromise, NOTHING!!!
I have worked retail most of my life and we, as consumers, all know that the floor models are generally offered with a discount because it has been USED! This company had no offers for the condition of the chair AND then declined to compensate the defect!
My family didn’t even ask for a discount being a floor model, they took the chair because of need, but for this company to offer NOTHING once they were informed of an issue, is absolutely unacceptable.
As this store “specializes” in accessibility products, you would think they’d understand and have compassion for their clients with an offer to make things right when they are able to keep their client base confident in their products and customer service, but sounds like they are in this business to gain from ever growing base.
My family did not want the chair for free or have a ridiculous plan in place to gain from this company. Also, I understand the company needs to profit from the products they sell, but to be as cold as to offer NOTHING is bad business! Shame on them! We will be informing everyone we know of this experience and will not be supporting this store when accessibility products are needed in our community of supporters again!

Bought a chair very happy to take your money they wrapped in plastic for us to hide the ripped fabric we saw when we got home told us there is nothing they can do they prey on people's disabilities for their own profit

Sherry and Jerry are the best. M chair broke down Monday night,they had everything fixed by Thursday. I was very fortunate to have Sherry herself come out Wednesday nothing could be fixed so she replaced my chair n Thursday with a delivery by Jerry. Thank you two I hope 2023 will be a successful year.

The front wheel on my chair broke and they not only had the part I needed in stock but they fixed it for me right away. Friendly and fast service with no hassle. I was very happy to be taken care of so quickly. I highly recommend them to anyone. The receptionist and serviceman were top quality people. Made my day. Kudos to all the staff at Automobility Medical. Five star's.
