Wow! After having a discouraging time figuring out where to get my booster vaccines as an adult, my experience with everyone at the clinic was incredible. The process to book my appointment was so thorough - I really felt cared for every step of the way. The nurse who gave my shots not only answered my questions, but let me know why I was getting what, what I’d need to consider in the future (if I ever have kids), and was patient and friendly. The front desk staff was so warm and encouraging, not just to me, but to everyone they talked to. So glad this resource exists for the community!

I believe that there are 2 main departments at this centre, and 3 different entrances. 1- Main entrance (lower, facing Knight, 1st picture) is for weekday adult Community Health, Speech Language Pathology and young adult services. The Upper ramp facing Knight St is for Public Health, mainly childhood vaccinations (2nd picture). The lower level entrance facing the south parking lot and alleyway is for older adult Community Health on weekends ("Staff & Client Parking Only" picture).

My little sister recently visited this clinic for a follow-up on her blood work results, and the experience was nothing short of disheartening. Nurse Sarah/Sara Foresight, who attended to her, displayed a level of rudeness that made my sister reluctant to share her concerns.

What added to the frustration was Sarah's promotion of birth control, accompanied by the inaccurate claim that it has zero side effects. This kind of misinformation is not only irresponsible but also undermines the trust one places in healthcare professionals.

In a youth clinic, where fostering a safe and welcoming environment is extremely important, Sarah's dismissiveness is concerning and detrimental to the purpose of providing a supportive space for health concerns among younger individuals. It is crucial to be respectful and considerate in such settings, as these early interactions shape future perceptions of healthcare professionals for the younger generation.

Moreover, Sarah's approach may be driving people away from seeking necessary healthcare. Her lack of empathy and urgency may discourage individuals, especially younger ones, from checking on their health in the future. This potential long-term impact on health-seeking behavior is deeply troubling.

Despite my sister's request for further testing, Sarah brushed it off, suggesting a one-month wait. This encounter left my sister traumatized, and I implore the clinic to address the issue promptly. Staff, especially Sarah, should undergo training that emphasizes empathy and accurate medical advice to ensure the clinic fulfills its role as a safe space for younger individuals seeking healthcare support. Immediate action is needed to prevent further deterrence of individuals from seeking essential health services.

This is the greatest place with kindest people who love their job! I needed planned vaccination for my 18 month old and didn’t know where to start since we just moved from the US. I brought his medical record, got an appointment and received all the vaccines. Also they checked my baby’s development and I got a reference to a doctor. Our nurse called me and gave me the reference! I didn’t expect a follow-up but she actually called! Thank you Sarah, you’re the best!

Clarice Chow's, Speech-Language Pathologist, effort and dedication to the need parents require is fantastic. I give her 10 out of 10. She went out of way to look into resources I needed for my child. Everytime I ask her for something she is always on top and happily work on the item immediately to address my inquiry/need/request for info.
