The facility itself is clean and well-maintained; however, I encountered a few challenges during my visit. The receptionist was not particularly polite, which detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the booking system is quite unconventional, as it only allows for same-day appointments. This makes it difficult to plan ahead, especially when traveling from out of town.

I had driven to the clinic based on recommendations, arriving just after 9:00 AM, hoping to secure an appointment. However, the earliest available slot was at 3:30 PM. This situation could have been managed more efficiently, as it would have been far more convenient to travel to the city to see a physician, rather than navigating the limitations of the Portage clinic system. It seems that the clinic primarily caters to locals, without sufficient regard for individuals coming from surrounding areas.

Overall, while I understand the demand for services, I believe the system could be improved to better accommodate those who are traveling from out of town.

Wait times with a prebooked appointment are terrible !!!!!
Trying to get through via phone to book an appointment even worse...
Rude front desk staff & other staff as well
Quality of care is not great at times either
I do not recommend this clinic for anything unless you plan to sit and wait...
On my final visit to this clinic two people arrived voicing concerns of not being able to get through on the phone and lengthy waits for appointments as well...
I will not be going to this clinic for anything further....I will travel to my own physician.

One star is generous. Walk in clinics fill up and waiting is necessary, that's understandable. Being told to " book online then, god it's not that hard" and " yeah you need to get a family doctor if you don't want this ( with a wide swipe motion) so figure it out!".

The service is horrendous. Doctors won't call you back. You have to stay on the line for an hour only to talk to the receptionist. Canada's healthcare system is broken.

Receptionist so very terrible very rude. I was only less than five minutes late from my appointment. They told me I had to cancel and rebook it even though I waited two months for that appointment.

I waited 35 minutes on hold just to make an appointment with my doctor. When I suggested to the person who finally answered that they needed more people she said they had no room for any more people. It's a huge area and mostly unused, I'm sure they could update their reception area and phone system to accommodate more receptionists. My time is valuable too. Also, the music while waiting is awful and loud and annoying. Make it something relaxing. * Update: I did speak with my doctor and changes are in the works to improve this situation. So happy to hear that.

Visited this clinic to get a Vitamin B12 injection for my wife, as advised by our physician. We had already purchased the injection from the pharmacy. The receptionist asked if we had an appointment, and when I requested to book one, she later told us they couldn’t administer the injection since we don’t have a family doctor, suggesting we go back to the pharmacy. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. Very disappointed with the lack of basic healthcare service.

Called the same day clinic at 11am was put on hold I was on hold for 45 min . I had to drive down and make an appointment . I was just wondering why I had to wait till 3:15pm for an appointment when no one was in the clinic . I feel they don’t care about people when they are sick .
