Perfect place to unplung. Booked a weekend with 2 friends. We did not care it rained. The guest house is spacious and had everything we needed. We took a walk to the "Lookout" and enjoyed the beautiful view. Thank you Anita and Pat.

I feel so fortunate to have experienced the peace and rest at Ballast Lodge! Upon arrival I could feel the care and tranquility curated for guests' stay. The cottage was comfortable with all we needed for cooking, and the view from the dining table added so much peace to meal times.
Two not great sleepers had a wonderful night's sleep, and we left feeling rested and refreshed! Thank you for the wonderful hosting.

I stayed in the cottage at Ballast Lodge in Sept 2023 and cannot begin to describe the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. I was able to unplug and really breathe deeply after a very busy summer. I read, walked, and even picked away at a puzzle (and I do not do puzzles! Lol) All while taking in the fresh air and gorgeous views. I plan to return again this fall and hope to make this an annual trip for some much needed alone time. Thank you for being a fantastic host Anita!

Ballast Logde review June 2023 review
Ballast Logde has by far been the BEST and most heartwarming place I have ever stayed in my my entire life time. I'm being 100% honest. I have travelled in within Canada and I want to tell you about the look out point of the Atlantic ocean meters away from beyond this beautiful cottage I'm lodging in. This location is stunning!!! I want to take off my hat and honor the hosts; Pat, and Anita for being very warm hearted to their guests. I feel like a king as a result of an arrival to a beautiful escape! It is blessed without a doubt!!! This location has all you need, the ocean meters away, a shoreline to walk on with lots of water to swim in. The very beauty is that this is where you can discover self reflection when your at the oceanfront with the sound of waves clashing and whistling through your ears putting you back in your place by the touch of this atmosphere. I don't wear a crown but I was treated as if I did. The astonishing cottages here and woodlands that surround Ballast Logde makes for a great adventure. Inside the accomodation is a beautiful view of the area with sun shining through a variety of windows which makes it easy to kiss nature, blue jay birds nesting, it's a real treat. I have discovered the very treasure in New Brunswick; a fascinating gem. This made history in my story, and I am glad to have encountered it. I am recommending Ballast Logde to any person deciding to come to New Brunswick for any reason!! 5***** STARS

We spent a week at Ballast Lodge and had a wonderful time! The guest house was a perfect retreat from city life; clean, comfortable and filled with gorgeous sunlight throughout the day. We had a view of the Bay of Fundy from our window which was absolutely stunning and were walking distance from the shoreline. We visited during the time of year when the shorebird migration takes places and it was a sight to see. The gymbary was a great space with workout equipment, a dart board and a Foosball table which we had ample use of. There was even a fire pit on the property where we were able to set up a campfire, roast marshmallows and enjoy the view. Anita and Pat are wonderful hosts. We ended up having a very early morning arrival and Anita was kind enough to bake some scones, they were delicious! During our stay, it was very easy to get in touch with Anita and she were very helpful. We had an opportunity to visit many of the natural wonders of the Bay of Fundy and then return to Ballast Lodge to relax and recharge. Our stay at Ballast Lodge was everything we could have hoped for. It is a beautiful haven to re-centre yourself and experience the calm of nature. We hope to visit again and we would highly recommend Ballast Lodge!

What an amazing place to rest!! The hosts are thoughtfully as present as you need them to be and at the same time considerate of the space of their guests. They are kind and fun and warm. The grounds are peacefully lovely and the views are breathtaking. The hiking is fantastic. The gymbrary offers space for indoor exercise, and games or books of one didn’t bring something of their own. The guest house and the cottage are clean and welcoming. The beds are comfortable. The water pressure in the shower is perfection. This is an oasis right here in Atlantic Canada. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

If you wish to purchase a piece of Anita’s incredibly stained glass art, she is willing to sell what is displayed in the houses.

I highly recommend Ballast Lodge as a space to rest and be renewed.

Loved our stay at the Ballast Lodge! We stayed in the cottage which was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Pat and Anita are great hosts! Great trails and access to the beach. A perfect spot to retreat, relax and recharge.

Our stay at Ballast Lodge was all we hoped for and more! The yummy homemade baked goods were such a nice unexpected welcome. Although varied experiences were offered we enjoyed the amazing view, watching the shore birds and tide plus walks on the beach and trails the most. Pat and Anita were very attentive hosts wanting to make our stay enjoyable which it was.
