Derrick as an RMT is great - always knows the exact pressure to use, and can pick up on when you're feeling chatty and when you're not, and adjusts accordingly. I can't recommend him highly enough!
The girls at the front are also very friendly and pleasant to deal with, and the clinic bills your insurance directly so no paying out of pocket and waiting weeks to get reimbursed. This place is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for an RMT in Lethbridge!

He is our doctor for the last 4 years and we recommend him to all our friends. In general very friendly people work there and always trying to help.

Been helping me recover from a car accident. Arun does a wonderful job as a physiotherapist, very kind, friendly, and helpful. The receptionists are also absolutely fantastic, more than willing to help with the paper work i had to fill out for insurance, and very patient with me while doing so.

I’m writing to advise that after the last 2 meetings at the clinic, the misunderstanding and subsequent conversations left me heavily triggered. In our lead up and primary meeting, I had listed multiple issues I have with trust, doctors and my CPTSD.

Initially this started as a misunderstanding with an employee, who I believed gave me a 10:20am appointment on June 25, 2024. I had asked for a reminder, which was claimed on the receipt. However, considering we are given the choice NOT to receive a receipt, and I gave the receipt to my husband to claim, I was confident I had the correct time, believing I would get an email reminder.
On June 25, 2024, I had difficulty finding parking, taking 5-10 minutes, which culminated in being told my appointment was at 11:20am. I was frustrated, because I had given my email address on the initial information process for the purpose of getting reminders for appointments in advance and had made another meeting elsewhere at 11:30am.

There were conversations between one employee and the other, which I decided to remediate, by rebooking and leaving as my CPTSD was triggered.

I arrived at the appointment July 2, 2024, and was warmly greeted by one employee. The employee I had issues with scowled and appeared unapproachable and did not take me to the room for my appointment, but placed the file in the slot, whereby you retrieved it and personally took me to the room. In the interim you had walked by claiming it was overtly warm, which you repeated in the appointment room. These were all signs indicating discomfort and a potential problematic environment.

As the appointment proceeded, you asked my level of discomfort at our last meeting. I stated our last meeting was supposed to be June 25, 2024, which didn’t happen. You interrupted, which started to escalate, as I attempted to say that I had found an interim resolution to my pain, which you interrupted again, stating that our appointment was only 20 minutes long and we could either have a discussion or a treatment, when all I wanted to do is explain my intermediary solution in response to your question.

At this point I was fully triggered, angry and figured I was not going to feed into your misunderstandings or misconceptions. It appeared you understood I was angry when I shut down. I was uptight, unable to relax, and the appointment was a disappointment for results. You mentioned on conclusion of the appointment, exercises and a possible appointment in a week if needed or two if not, possible physiotherapy. At which point all I wanted was to leave, which thankfully your professional employee reminded me I needed to pay. I thanked them, apologized, paid, and left, saying I’d think about another appointment.

I spent the rest of the day fully triggered, attempting to come to terms with the ongoing misunderstanding, which I could only surmise was that you may or may not have deduced something was wrong, something had happened with the initial misunderstanding and employee, which I had already presumed, but then why the secondary misunderstanding?

This whole situation made me feel I was treated unfairly. I went home and suffered the repercussions of that treatment as my CPTSD triggers escalated, while all I could think of was why?

Up an until this whole debacle, I trusted you to be fair, told you I had issues, believed you understood, ergo the lengthy details in my chart. It appears you did not, and for was further triggered by your misunderstandings, when all you had to do was say “Don’t worry, it’s been resolved, it was a misunderstanding.”

With this please be advised I will not be returning for future appointments. If you wish to respond fine, if not it is just another point I can say was predicted and expected.

Ive been seeing Carolina for a while now for massage and every session has been amazing and exceeded expectations. She is incredibly skilled and knowledgable and even if im vague about what I want to focus on she always finds the right spots that need work. I leave every time so completely relaxed feeling like im both ready to tackle the day and take a nice nap. I will continue to see her and I cant recommend her enough.

Just finished my second massage therapy treatment today from Carolina. She is a great therapist! Very knowledgeable about the human body and treatments. She has great communication with the client during the massage to make sure everything is perfect and to explain treatment practices so you know what is going on. I appreciate her sitting down with me before treatments and asking questions about previous treatments and how I felt after. Then explaining what the plan for the days treatment is. Most therapists I've been to just say "hi, ok, lay down, I'll be back in a few." And that's it.
So I really appreciate the communication!
My body is feeling much better already! Will definitely continue treatments with Carolina!
