Ramtin and zacky were a wonderful help. My dad has Parkinson’s and they were patient, knowledgeable, and gave him a variety of options to try from. We were happy with the service : )

Ramtin was awesome!
From my first phone call to my visit in the showroom he knew his job.
Showed me the walker for my mum and it was a very smooth transaction.
I recommend this place to everyone

Our experience with Access Abilities was beyond what we expected. Starting with Aaron, then Rick and finally Jason. informative, patient, professional and kind are adjectives that best describe these three gentlemen. The service was exemplary and 2 chair lifts were installed in a few hours. This equipment will allow us to remain in our house longer, and it was very affordable.

Extremely poor communication skills with Shawn, the sales rep. He is at sales conferences instead of dealing with a potential sale. Not focused. He keeps trying to sell me a scooter that I have repeatedly said I did not want. He even tried to finalize the purchase of his recommendation scooter even though I had previously sent him emails and text messages telling him that I DID NOT WANT the scooter but was interested in an other device. Once I told him I did not want the product that he wants to sell me, he stopped communicating with me at this point. It didn't matter that I just came out of surgery. I called the store and asked to speak to the owner. I spoke with a gentleman named Aaron. I have text messages and emails that I was willing to show to him with my specific Instructions to Shawn with what I wanted to purchase. When I spoke with the owner, his communication skills were just as bad and stubborn, to add. What I want to purchase is irrelevant because he has "25 years experience of how the process works". They are stuck in their medieval ways, and my needs and requests are irrelevant. They don't care about their customers they are only interested in the sale. He was more concerned about the ADP process then me having to repeatedly tell him that if the ADP doesn't cover it, I have private insurance or I'll just pay for it cash. Bottom line, I wanted a specific mobility device but they weren't interested in what I wanted they were interested in how the process works. I took my business to another vendor who was more than happy to help me.

A gentleman named Vince was sent to my home back in March for a mobility walker I needed through A.P.P.
Vince took all the measurements and told me it would only take 2 weeks to get my new walker.
After the 2 weeks I tried calling the occupational therapist I was dealing with about my walker but she never got back to me. Sadly I never got a card from Vince an was not able to call him. He never called me.
My disability worker got involved after 3 months and found another place to order the walker from.
I guess they must have spoke to Vince about this and he called me being all rude about me ordering the walker from another place. I said well it's been 4 months and I have not heard from anyone.
I told him I was very upset. He once again told me they had to order another walker and it was going to take ANOTHER 2 WEEKS!!!.
I was outraged.
I wouldn't go with this company. They are a big rip off .

Oops! I think that I may have forgotten to complete the ratings section and I wanted to add a couple more comments. We had a wonderful experience here. My mother in law is 94 years old and, though quite spry with her faculties intact, for the most part, is hard of hearing. The young man, Zaki, who took care of us, was very patient and kind, knowledgeable and friendly. Who knew that 4-wheel walkers came in different sizes! He showed mom a few different models and adjusted each one to match her build. Get this-their store chooses not to charge hst on these, as they feel that the cost is hefty enough for most people. When we were there, a man came in with his walker and when he left, we heard him thank the staff for the prompt repairs and said that he found the cost to be really reasonable. Huh! How about that? They sell a number of assistive devices, but if you have a need that they can’t fulfill, they seem to be able to point you in the right direction (based on a conversation we overheard with another shopper).
At no time did we feel pressured and Zaki also provided us with government assistance literature, a verbal summary of the information and was able to answer a couple of questions that we had. We would definitely go back for any future assistive needs.

We have an elder moving in with us soon, so we have been seeking out stairlift companies before their arrival. We were recommended Access Abilities by one of the companies we contacted, as they said they carry the best stairlifts, so we sought them out immediately. We were met with a salesperson, Rick, who had a bad attitude from the start. We negotiated with the other companies as well regarding the price of the stairlift as we are purchasing on a short notice, but when doing so with Rick, he resorted to making micro-aggressive comments, citing that bargaining and negotiating is “in our blood.” We chose to ignore the comment as best we could, and decided to give Access Abilities our business as they carry walkers, bath chairs and rods, etc., in addition to stairlifts so we could get all the items we need in one place. After receiving our quote the day we placed the order, we were not given any notice about when our order would be installed unless we asked first for about a week. We ended up needing the stairlift quicker than we thought due to the elder arriving faster than we anticipated, so we asked to get our order fast-tracked. It was, and on the day of instalment, the stairlift technician arrived hours later than we were told. When money was withdrawn and we were given a final quote with the price of everything, we noticed the discrepancies in the charging of the bath rods. In the first quote we received the day we placed the order, two grab bars were priced at $180. Then, in the second quote, they were priced at $220. In the final quote, we were charged $150 for one bar, and then $60 for each additional bar (we ended up getting two more bars as the rod technician recommended two more given the layout of our bathroom). According to the salesman, $120 for the first bar, $60 for each additional bar. But as mentioned, the final quote charged $150 for the first bar and $60 for each additional bar, charging $30 extra for the first bar (these prices are evidently unreasonable). Because of this, for the bars, we were charged $330 when we were supposed to be charged $300. We then contacted Access Abilities again and were met with hostility from both Rick and another worker, Joe, as they continuously threw our “negotiated 20% discount” in our faces. We are set to receive a $30 refund but if you are looking to get a stairlift alongside these other items without getting degraded and robbed in the process, then we highly recommend you stay away from here!
