I will start by saying that I do currently work with this company and am shocked to see some of the poor comments below.
I have had the pleasure of meeting our Techs in the Edmonton as well as management through the company and can surely say that everyone is very professional and extremely knowledgeable.

I highly recommend Air West Mechanical weather you a looking for a great Repair and Maintenance company or a great employer to work for !

Contacted Air West in the late afternoon and at 7 am the next day Zach was onsite, trouble shot and fixed the issue within 5 min of me opening the door. Couldnt be more pleased. Great service!

We used AWM for quarterly preventative maintenance of our commercial display freezers and fridges. They stopped servicing our area and failed to inform me of this. After hiring another company i've learned just how half-a55ed a job they've been doing at cleaning these units. The technicians were friendly (hence 2 stars), but probably told by the company to be done within an hour. Very poor experience with AWM.

I have nothing but good thing's to say about this company, we had our AC installed by them and the workmanship couldn't have been better. The technician's were wonderful to deal with and efficient. Thank you Airwest for a job well done!!

I would never use Airwest for any type of repair or maintenance again and I would never recommend anyone use them for any services.

Apparently we had them as our preventative maintenance company that would come in 3 times a year or so to do “preventative maintenance” but they would just show up unannounced, no phone call or anything to schedule a time that works best. They just show up whenever they want and all they would do is walk around and look at our coolers. Maybe 20-30 minutes in total and then invoice us for $830. They’re charging us $830 for a simple walkthrough, no work done whatsoever.

During our time with Airwest, we’ve had 2 compressors burn out, 1 unit we had to just completely throw out and purchase a new one.

Overall, Airwest seems like a very shady business

We got a new company in to do our preventative maintenance and they actually come in at scheduled times and they clean out our condenser coils on every unit and then they do a walk through to see if there’s any uprising issues and then bill us $500-$600.

Originally posted this review and then took it down as Airwest tried to resolve this however failed to.

The manager Robert called me after and was demanding that I take this review down. He mentioned that he has before and after pictures of our condenser coils cleaned. So I told him if he can send me the before and after pictures of our condenser coils being cleaned I would take the review down and he responds with “no, you need to take that review down, there are no conditions” and “if you don’t take that review down, there will be further action”. Turns out, he did not have pictures of before and after cleaning our condenser coils and says that he finally got the back story to it all and now knows that his tech was not able to get to all the condenser coils, not once but twice. He also mentions something about leaving a negative review on our google page without actually eating here. This alone is extremely unprofessional, reviews are meant for customers to share their experience.

Robert offered a $300 credit to try to resolve this matter but in the end, Airwest has cost us thousands of dollars in repairs because they have never actually completed the preventative maintenance work on all our units. Sending a tech out to us unannounced/scheduled while we are open for service and not being able to complete the job that is required then charging us the full $830 still is absurd. They don’t even take into consideration if they can’t get to all the condenser coils, come back next time when we are not open for service so that you CAN get to all the condenser coils or atleast mention to someone that you couldn’t get to them all instead of just billing us $830 every visit.

I would highly recommend businesses stay away from using Airwest Mechanical.

I recently engaged the services of Airwest Mechanical to diagnose and repair an issue with my furry furnace, which was failing to maintain the required temperature. What unfolded was an experience riddled with disappointment and unprofessionalism.

Upon arrival, the technician, who seemed to have little to no experience with my type of furnace, failed to diagnose the issue. The technician even stepped out for 30 minutes, leaving me puzzled about what he was doing during that time.

After his return, the issue remained unresolved, and I was presented with a $259 bill for a service that essentially achieved nothing. When I expressed my concerns to the company, they did not address them and instead were very threatening, even mentioning that they would send the bill to collections.

I paid the bill to avoid potential credit issues, but I cannot, in good faith, recommend this to others. Their lack of customer service, technical expertise, professional conduct, and their threatening behavior have left me with a strong sense of dissatisfaction.

My hope is that sharing this experience will help potential customers make an informed decision about whether or not to engage this company for their heating needs. The loss of $260 is significant, but if my experience can prevent others from being mistreated, it will be worth it.

I strongly urge anyone seeking furnace services to look elsewhere and consider alternative providers who prioritize customer satisfaction, technical expertise, and conduct their business with integrity.

I previously gave the company a one star and I wanted to provide an update. I contacted the company after my AC was repaired by different company, not what Air West tech indicated was the issue. The service manager was excellent and appreciated my feedback. I was refunded the total amount with assurances the situation would be looked into.
