Alex came in at very short notice to revamp the front end of El Toco's website. This involved following designs produced by our graphic designer in order to standardise pages created by several prior developers and give the whole site a consistent feel. It also entailed making the website fully responsive, as well as ironing out numerous bugs. Alex proved to be a skilled developer in all web programming languages and worked efficiently to create pages which exactly matched the designs. This entailed a number of on the fly tweaks as are usual when implementing a design in code, but these were accommodated with no hassle. Alex worked with futureCodersSE on the production of a prototype app called WhatsItLike.  I was particularly keen to work with Alex, having taught her a number of years ago and having seen the great work she has done with CodeHarbour.  Her brief was very vague, the project was quite experimental at that stage, and I wanted her to write it using React so that I could more easily take it to the next stage.  This was at quite an early stage of her use of React and so the job was demanding, especially as we could only work on a part-time basis.
