Just back from Atlantic superstore. Very disappointed. One month after US chaos and I fail to see any effort by this store to support clients by simply showing patriotism and posting Canadian flags on our products. Why? We as Canadian citizens are doing as much as we can..please step up. We supported you for all these years, time to do your part.

Never again (I rarely come here) . Did my shopping only to find out that self-checkout is less than 20 items! Okay fine had less than 20but had my own bags where they have nothing to actually support the bags. When I put one of their bins in it so that my bag wouldn't flop over I was told I couldn't do that and if I wanted the bags to stay upright I should go through checkout cause that's not their problem.

I will gladly use my hard-earned money and go support actual businesses who give a shit about their customers

Very rude to me when I “wasn’t using the self checkout right”. Would’ve just went to the cashiers but there was only 2 open and they were backed up. Also, someone is going to get hurt one of these days trying to climb the shelves to get stock that is not pulled ahead, poor elderly lady didn’t get her yogurt that day, and I couldn’t reach it either! Lost my business

ANGELA!! (I hope you get the chance to read this) 3 years ago when my daughter committed to St.FX academically and to play soccer I was a bit torn. Out of province and I knew I wouldn’t be able to be with her on her Birthday in January. Fast forward to Tuesday, I called the store to order her her Birthday cake and scheduled pick up for her yesterday at noon. She went picked up the cake and was also gifted beautiful flowers! What a wonderful surprise! Angela your kindness is above and beyond and it’s people like you that make a difference! Thank you for making my daughter’s 21st Birthday special!

Not bad overall, good quantity and quality of stock available. Staff is very helpful and kind, and they do have a homes/kitchen/Joe Clothing section - which is a bonus.

Cons - Not a great choice if you're looking for marked down items though I will admit, and the washrooms are inconveniently located.

Staff have always been pleasant and helpful, store is clean with a good selection of international items. In the last year or so I've noticed the produce quality really go downhill - boxes of spinach out for sale that are rotten, bags of apples or peppers with one that's rotten and mushy. Returning bad produce is almost a weekly occurrence at this point.

Want to be treated like the filthy poor person that you are by being trapped in the store? Want nobody at the self-checkout and have the system be confused by a single cucumber? Want some of the worst looking overpriced meat and vegetables in town? Go no further! Otherwise just go to the Sobeys; its better, cheaper and they treat you with a modicum of more respect as a human.
