When Dr. Thompson was there I never had to wait over two months to see him. Now they tell you to use their online booking system which I did only to be told AT THE APPOINTMENT that I will be seeing a different Dr. If I make an appointment to see MY DOCTOR I expect to see my doctor not a stranger I never talked to before and I was never given the choice to see someone different!
The staff there is beyond incompetent. The new girls are quite good and lets hope they don't take up the bad habits of the senior staff. So after being told that I could not see my doctor today, I went to the front desk and explained what happened. Here's the conversation:
Q "Could you please tell me when's the earliest I can see Dr.*"
A "The earliest would be late January"
Q "I'm gonna have to wait 2 months to see my doctor when I already have waited two months when this was not my fault?"
A "Let me check the schedule.....there's nothing I can do"
Q "Can you please have Dr.* call me directly?"
A "Dr.* won't do that"
Q "You're telling me my doctor will not call me if I ask to speak with her?" (in a normal tone)
A "Don't get upset with me I'm just doing my job" (snarky voice) All I can do is send her a note with your request."
Q "THAT'S ALL I ASKED YOU TO DO AND YOU DECIDED TO MAKE THE DECISION FOR MY DOCTOR AND TELL ME NO!"
A "Someone will call you."
I LOVE my Dr.! But the staff there and the way they run their business is awful. If you are 10 minutes late for your appointment they tell you that you have to rebook. But them making people wait over an hour is totally acceptable?! Although this has not happened to me since I am seeing my new doctor, I feel it should be mentioned as doctors are NOT an exception to courtesy. Instead of jam packing their schedule to maximize their billing they should maybe think about the customers. You know....the people the government is paying them a pretty pennie to serve!
