I love Bancroft Eye Care ! I have been coming here for many years and have always had the most friendly and helpful experience with everyone. They absolutely cater to your needs whether it be for examination to glasses, to help with financial assistance paperwork to help speed up the process for you. Awesome place and I would highly recommend them.

I cannot believe people are giving negative reviews because they didn't realize eye care is not covered by OHIP. If you're mad about it don't take it out on the optometrist, take it out on the government. This has been the norm in our province for a long time. You don't like getting a bill from the eye doctor? Be thankful you don't have to pay that price every time you go to your GP.

I have been going to the optometrist for over 30 years and based on my experiences, this office was excellent. They were able to see me within a few days. The office was immaculately clean. The staff were friendly as well as attentive. And Dr. Guthrie was not only professional but very kind. Everyone made me feel comfortable and well taken care of.

They don't deserve the negative feedback I see here. I'll be reporting every negative review that claims OHIP coverage as the rationale.

Wonderful experience having a lady Kathleen repair a pair of regular glasses and sunglasses.
This lady and her co-workers are beyond professional and attentive. From the moment I walked in the store I was welcomed and helped beyond my expectations.

Dr. Rawal was able to fit me in for an emergency appointment last minute - nicest medical professional I've ever had the privilege of seeing! He thoroughly explained everything that he was doing and the results. 10/10 experience

This "doctor" has a monopoly in Bancroft and knows it. I had the nose pads fall off of my last pair of glasses from them and when I went there to get them replaced the receptionist had the door locked and wouldn't even answer the phone, even though I was looking at her through the door. It was 1pm at the time, so the door shouldn't have even been locked in the first place. Stay away from this place unless you enjoy being screwed around.

According to ohip seniors get a free eye exam every 18 months. I was told today that it’s only partly covered by dr. Rawal’s office in Bancroft a charge of $107 would apply. I’ll be speaking to the service Ontario about this.

We were headed back to the states in 2 days and coincidentally my wife and I both had lost a screw in our glasses. Needed them for the 9 hour drive back. Brought them here to see if they could repair them. Left them and when we returned about a half hour later both were repaired. Great friendly staff.

The best optometrist care I have ever had!!! They took excellent care of me and my uncommon eye condition during covid, when even the hospital could not help me!
Dr. Guthrie was extremely knowledgeable and did his upmost to make sure that my eye was getting treated with the caution which helped to relieve my pain.
I would highly recommend this amazing team, with a giant round of thanks to Dr. Guthrie for saving my vision!!!
