I like the variety they carry. Makes it easy to get small amounts of a product with out having to order a dump truck load from elsewhere. Sure you pay more per ton, but if you don't want or need 12 tons it's perfect

I have not yet confirmed my purchase for the year but after communicating with Audrey I had to leave a review. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about her product. She took the time to educate me and was willing to offer a good deal! I look forward to actually getting the wood.

Barrett firewood delivered our order for 2 cord yesterday; it was clean, dry and is burning beautifully. Office staff kept us informed about our order and when it was arriving. ? Excellent customer service all around.

To be fair, year before the firewood was very good. This year, not good at all. Therefore they get 2 stars because on the year before, if it had been based on this year, one star for for sure.
This year the wood was “raggedy”, lots on torn, shredded, short, and rotten center pieces.
Would have given them a pass on it but based on customer service, thought to post a review.
Contacted them twice by email, sent pictures of this years and previous and specifically said I was not looking for any type of compensation.
Just the common courtesy of a reply and would not be writing this review.
Based on their lack of concern for customer satisfaction and poor quality of firewood this year i will be definitely looking elsewhere for next season.

We were really happy with our experience at Barrett Firewood. Their supply of firewood was organized by standard quantities, which we could simply select and load into our vehicle. It was easy, efficient, and reasonably priced.

I am new to Nova Scotia and read the reviews for this business and still decided to give them a try. Placed an order for 2 cords of wood on August 14th for delivery at the end of October to mid November. Called to get an estimated delivery date on October 13th and they were going to go through the orders and get back to me. Haven't heard back from them at all. I have called repeatedly and left messages but no call back. Emailed them in an attempt to communicate and still no reply. Canceled the order by email still no reply. Save yourself the trouble if they aren't out of business they should be.

I ordered three cords. Have been buying for many years but skipped the last two. Had a delivery date in July. Got on a cancelation and was delivered two months early. Wood was well seasoned. I checked, average of 10 to 15%, perfect to burn now! True full cords and very pleasant staff. Definitely a return customer.

Only one suggestion, allow electronic payments, Interac, Credit Card, something.

Got wood delivered over a month ago and they left me a not so nice surprise when i cleaned up the driveway. I now have a 3inch hole/divot in my driveay where the back of their trunk slammed down on it! Going on over two weeks and still have not heard back from the Operations Manager, to busy to make a phone call as I've had to keep calling them for answers and not getting any.
