I am incredibly disappointed, this should have been a fun and exciting purchase for completing my bathroom. Instead Bartle and Gibson caused delays to my project, a great deal of stress, anxiety and inconvenience on multiple levels.

I have dealt with suppliers and distributors for the last 3 years completing a whole home renovation. Multiple staff members at Bartle and Gibson were both rude and unwilling to work with me as a customer after making several errors with my order. The Manager/Supervisor attempted to redeem it however their sales staff, reception and loading staff all managed to demonstrate an unfounded and seemingly intentional lack of support, repeatedly throughout the process of ordering a simple vanity.

In summary, I was not provided the vanity I was initially promised/sold. They did not confirm my order was placed, blaming it on purchasers and supplier. The vanity did not arrive in the time frames provided (twice.) They further complicated the pickup of the vanity failing to provide a link to pay the $169.12 balance before a friend arrived to pick up the vanity and refused to let them pay the balance to release the vanity.

The vanity deposit was paid August 9 should have arrived September 13. It was not made available for pick up until October 16. 10 weeks after ordering it.

Went in today to get a quote for some outdoor lighting got help from a very respectful gentleman at the parts counter under the electrical banner. I went in to see if they carry a brand called “in-lite”. He wasn’t sure if they had that specific brand so he got a lady to come and assist us. She had a very nasty attitude from the start saying that I had to contact In Lite directly as they have no dealers in Edmonton, I told her I already got 2 quotes from other dealers that deal with this manufacturer. She made comments like “why would a lawn company carry outdoor lights” and “show me their quote” like she didn’t believe me that I had quotes for these lights. Why are your employees asking customers to show quotes from other dealers? Then she started going off about how she does all these projects and this and that. I asked the gentleman if they could order these lights or not and he politely said no so I left it at that. Big thumbs down to Bartle & Gibson for allowing her to talk to customers like that. Will be spending my money elsewhere.

Brutal customer service. Called in for a quote of 20 light fixtures approx $200 each. Gave all my info even though I’m a repeat customer they can’t find my purchase on file.

A few days pass …So I came in waited physically and lined up and waited for a rep. Who wasn’t busy on their phones or talking to other employee and just staring at me. The nice rep took my info again (same info I already gave then days before) and said someone would call me.

No calls. No emails.

Maybe These guys don’t want your business unless it’s over a certain dollar figure or you’re able to assemble your order some how for them (basically do their job in the back) and bring it up to the till for them.

I ll go somewhere else where the staff aren’t to busy on their phones and chatting to do business

Good morning,

I wanted to share with you my experience at your store. I came in from out of town to pick up an order. I was second in line while we waited for customer service. The gentleman in front of me who was picking up a hot water tank was obviously the brother of an employee who worked at the store. The person who helped the gentleman in front of me assisted him but did not acknowledge a second customer in any way. Im 9 months pregnant so hard to miss. A second employee walked up to the counter and asked if I has been helped. He looked at the other rep who said - I'm busy with another customer and walked to the back (you must hide other customers back there ;)). The rep who helped me promptly took my order number, brought back the parts, and without question lifted the heaviest item and asked where I had parked the car. The rep carried my item to my vehicle and wished me a pleasant day. I just want you to know as a customer how much I appreciated my interaction with the rep who did acknowledge me as that is exactly the kind of person who I would want greeting my customers. It's easy to spot the good ones when others fail in comparison.
