I cannot recommend Beacon Skincare enough! Their customer service is absolutely outstanding—they responded to my questions instantly and went above and beyond to thoroughly explain how to use the products, when to use them, and what each one does. The level of detail and care they provided made me feel so confident in my purchase.

As for the products themselves—wow! Every single one is amazing. I’ve already noticed a positive difference in my skin, and I love how effective and luxurious they feel. Thank you, Beacon Skincare, for such an exceptional experience. You’ve gained a loyal customer for life!

Extremely professional clinic and a highly tailored experience. Pam is an extremely seasoned and skilled laser technician.

I also appreciate that they do not use pushy sales tactics here, although they do make gentle suggestions. I had a consultation with Danielle, and she was extremely knowledgeable and gave me all the information I needed. I also went in with an idea on what I wanted to do and she actually gave me better suggestions.

I have been a patient at Beacon Dermatology for some time and have always received excellent care from Dr. Andrei Metelitsa and his nursing staff. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Dr. Branden Reid was deeply disappointing and has caused lasting harm.

During an appointment on August 21, 2024, for wart treatment on my hand, Dr. Reid performed the procedure with very little control. Despite reassuring me beforehand that he would avoid damaging my hand tattoo, the treatment was administered in an excessively broad and prolonged manner, causing severe burns. These burns later became infected, leaving me with significant scarring and extensive damage to my tattoo. The wound took approximately an entire month to heal.

As someone who works in directly with their hands, this injury has impacted my ability to work and resulted in a loss of income. I’ve also incurred additional medical expenses, and the emotional distress caused by the scarring and tattoo damage has been difficult to deal with.

While I’ve always had positive experiences with Dr. Metelitsa and the nursing staff, my experience with Dr. Reid was far below the standard of care I’ve come to expect from Beacon Dermatology. I hope that my experience is not a reflection of the clinic as a whole, but I would caution anyone considering treatment with Dr. Reid.

I just want to share my unfortunate experience. I had an appointment scheduled with Dr. Brandon Reid at 3:45 pm. I arrived at 3:35pm hoping he would possibly be running ahead of schedule so I could get out on time. I went to the reception desk that was past the Self Check-In kiosks and checked in with the receptionist there because I wanted to ask if things were running on time. I notified her that I needed to be out on time as I had to pick up my son from daycare and get to his skating lesson for 4:30pm. She confirmed that things were running on schedule. I had a seat directly to her right/diagonally behind her and waited. Time went by and I was still not called in at 3:45pm. The receptionist turned off her computer and left at 4:00pm without noticing that I was still there even though my appointment was at 3:45pm. Since I confirmed with her when I checked in that things were running on time, I gave the team the benefit of the doubt that things had maybe gotten a bit busier. Dr. Reid would come out and call people in but never took a second glance at me waiting. By 4:10 pm I noticed that people that had come in after me were for sure being called in before me. I realized at this point I would be late picking up my son and we would not make it to his skating lesson. At 4:15 pm I was fed up and asked a man coming out of his session what time his appointment was at, and he replied 4:05pm. I went to the reception desk that was across the stairs to ask the receptionist there what was going on and why I was waiting for over 30 minutes for my appointment. He told me that I had actually NOT been checked in when I came in at 3:35pm, but that he would flag my name as an urgent patient so Dr. Reid could take me in next. Dr. Reid called me in at 4:21pm and apologized for what happened as I was visibly upset, but told me that in future if I ever wait for 10+ minutes to inquire why as I should be seen by then as he never runs more than 5-10 minutes late. He was pleasant enough to offer to take me in sooner if I ever have a future appointment (which apparently I do not because my treatment has been completed), but unfortunately this did nothing to repair this extremely frustrating experience.

Any parents of young children can attest to our time being extremely precious. I thought I did my due diligence by arriving earlier, confirming that Dr. Reid was running on schedule, and by trusting the receptionist with the check-in process. Instead, I was left angry for my time being wasted (essentially an hour total), frustrated that my son had to miss his skating lesson (which are not cheap to register for!), and made to feel embarrassed that I trusted their team to run efficiently - but instead should have asked why I wasn't seen on time, even though two staff members (the first receptionist and Dr. Reid) should have noticed me waiting beyond my appointment time and brought it to attention.

I recently underwent deroofing surgery in my underarm with Dr. Lauren Lam, and I can confidently say she is the best doctor I’ve encountered in Canada. She is kind, caring, welcoming and very helpful. I also want to extend my gratitude to the nurse who assisted; although I don’t know her name, she was fantastic and always had a smile on her face. A special thanks to Melissa—your support and guidance made everything possible. Thank you all so much! God bless you.

Very unfortunate experience with Dr Poelman. She literally spent 3 minutes with me without even looking at me. If I did not offer for her to see my concern she wasn’t planning to look at my skin concern. Waited for 7 months for this appointment that left me feeling unimportant and just another patient who she can bill. My friends referred Dr Metelitsa. They said he is good. The referral from my family doctor indicated Dr Metelitsa but for some reason they gave me Dr Poelman. I should have spoken up when they booked my appointment. Cassidy the receptionist wasn’t helpful either. When I checked in, not a single “Hi, Hello” or a smile to greet patients. She looked pissed. She handed out the forms to fill and told me to sit. I feel she doesn’t like her job. What an unfavorable experience. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Truly Outstanding Service!
I have been a patient/client of Dr. Andrei Metelitsa since 2020. I visit him on an annual basis. When he walks into the room, it is as if I just saw him yesterday. He remembers what we chatted about a year ago and the conversation continues. He is always professional, compassionate, calm and kind. I am impressed with his sincere and caring attitude towards his work, his staff and especially towards his patients. When I arrived at the clinic on January 14, 2025, I was warmly greeted by a lovely young woman. She immediately assisted me and was very attentive. I then met with Dr. Metelitsa and his lovely nurse, Karine. Dr. Metelitsa and Karine were very engaging and I believe they truly cared about my well-being. I find Dr. Metelitsa to be knowledgeable, dedicated and honest with me. In our discussions, it is clear to me that he keeps up with the latest techniques and advances in the industry. It truly is a pleasure to attend at the clinic as Dr. Metelitsa and his staff are truly superb!

worst experience so far with a professional medical clinic. The appointment has been moved 3 times. Friendly staff - I don't know how other people can feel this? I don't feel it. cannot comment on the doctor as haven't got a chance to see her. Finally decided to cancel the appointment as really don't want to deal with this clinic and the doctor which keeps changing the schedule/appointment.
