Nous étions de passage à Bracebridge avec notre chien de 15 ans lorsque nous avons dû consulter en urgence. Dès notre appel, le Bracebridge Animal Hospital s’est montré d’une efficacité et d’une bienveillance exemplaires. Bien que nous ne soyons pas des clients réguliers, ils avaient déjà pris la peine de contacter notre clinique habituelle pour obtenir son dossier avant notre rendez-vous de 9h20.

Sur place, l’accueil a été chaleureux et rassurant. La Dre Mélanie Sigetich a fait preuve d’une douceur et d’une attention remarquables, prenant le temps d’examiner notre chien et de bien nous expliquer la situation. Ce qui nous a le plus touchés, c’est son suivi attentionné : elle nous a rappelés le soir même, puis encore le lendemain, simplement pour prendre des nouvelles.

Dans un moment rempli d’émotion, loin de chez nous, nous avons ressenti une véritable humanité et un profond respect envers notre compagnon. Et en prime, les tarifs étaient beaucoup plus raisonnables qu’au Québec, sans compromis sur la qualité des soins.

Merci du fond du cœur à la Dre Sigetich et à toute l’équipe — vous avez pris soin de lui comme si c’était le vôtre. 💛

We were visiting Bracebridge with our 15-year-old dog when we unexpectedly needed veterinary care. From the very first call, the Bracebridge Animal Hospital team showed outstanding efficiency, kindness, and compassion. Even though we weren’t regular clients, they had already contacted our usual clinic to obtain his records before our 9:20 a.m. appointment.

At the clinic, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt reassured. Dr. Mélanie Sigetich was exceptionally gentle and attentive, taking her time to examine our dog and explain everything clearly. What touched us the most was her thoughtful follow-up — she called us that same evening and again the next day, just to check in on him.

Being far from home, we were deeply moved by the genuine care and humanity shown to both us and our senior dog. And to our pleasant surprise, the prices were much more reasonable than in Quebec, with no compromise on the quality of care.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Dr. Sigetich and the entire team — you cared for him as if he were your own.

En voyage au Lac Rosseau notre chienne de 15 ans a fait une chute la laissant dans un état léthargique. Nous étions très inquiets. Nous avons pris un rendez-vous via le site internet de la clinique tard le soir. Avons obtenu un rendez-vous pour le lendemain matin. Nous avons eu un très bon accueil et à notre grande surprise une demande pour le dossier de Makavelie avait déjà été faite à notre clinique vétérinaire au Québec malgré ce court laps de temps. Nous nous sommes sentis en très grande confiance. La Dre nous a rassurée, a prescrit des médicaments anti-douleur tout en s'assurance qu'ils étaient compatibles avec ceux administrés par notre clinique habituelle. Des prises de sang ont été faites et le rapport suivra à notre clinique. Wow sur toute la ligne pour cette clinique.

Il est tellement difficile d'avoir un rendez-vous rapide ou en urgence chez un vétérinaire au Québec que nous avons été plus qu'impressionnés par le service rapide, l'accueil et les coûts raisonnables. Nous aimerions beaucoup compter sur une telle clinique près de chez nous. Merci bcp !!!

Dr Melanie is the regional expert with experience that goes beyond just cats and dogs, she was able to treat our little hedgehog Chloe who needed to be seen on short notice. Her approach was refreshing, she focused on the issue and the most effective ways to treat it. Unlike so many vets that are pressured by the bottom line to cross sell tests and other services.

The Bracebridge Animal Hospital has absolutely amazing staff and I would highly recommend them to any pet owner. I have taken my pets to them for care since moving to the area and have no regrets in doing so.

We recently discovered that our dog had cancer and needed to be euthanized. The staff was amazing and supportive - showing the upmost compassion and support through the process. They allowed my children and I to have a chance to say goodbye in a respectful and dignified manner and stayed after-hours to see the journey through to completion.

I was up at my cottage in between Bala and Port Carling for a few days when my newly rescued dog got stung a few times by these little wasps. Zeus had a severe allergic reaction immediately. His body was covered in hives, and he was panicking. I immediately rushed him to Port Carling Animal Services, where I was turned away because I didn't have an appointment and was told the closest place to go was Barrie. Fearing for my dog's life, we called Bracebridge Animal Hospital and they said, Bring him right in. Dr. Shallen Langley examined Zeus and administered a shot immediately. She was very caring and compassionate to both Zeus and me. She explained everything in detail, putting him on prednisone (Dogs can't have an EpiPen), and was told also to give him Benadryl and was given recommended dosages. She also found out he had an ear infection (a new swimmer) and a dog allergic to everything. I also received a follow-up call at home to check in to see how Zeus was doing. I am very pleased with the care Zeus received at Bracebridge Animal Hospital from Dr. Shallen Langley and team. Thank you so much!

I had to bring our dog here this past weekend for an emergency, and I can’t say enough good things about the care we received. They were able to fit us in within 2 hours of calling, and by the time we arrived they had already obtained all of our records from our hometown vet, which made the process so much smoother.

Even though we had to wait a little while to be seen (completely understandable since we were squeezed in), the staff kept checking on us, making sure we were comfortable, and even brought my dog water and treats while we waited.

When we saw Dr. Langley, it was hands down the most thorough exam I’ve ever experienced with any vet. She took her time, explained everything clearly, and made sure we understood the next steps as well as what to monitor at home. I left feeling reassured and truly grateful for the level of care and attention given to my dog.

Highly recommend this hospital for anyone in Muskoka needing compassionate, professional, and thorough veterinary care. Thank you 😊
