They need better care for children my 10 month old grandson passed away cause he had a heart condition that his mother was in aware of he was taken to BGH a couple months ago he was lethargic they could not wake him they had to use their knuckles in the middle of his chest to wake him he did not wake they had to shake him then he had woke they sent him home the next day with croup two to three months later my daughter is waking up to our son passing away the Branfordgeneral did a good job at trying to revive him but when we asked to stop CPR after 90 minutes they still continue to bring him back then he was pronounced brain dead at the McMaster hospital 48 hours later and this just happened on March 5th 2025 so do I feel the Brantford general needs better doctors for babies and children most definitely the children are not going undiagnosed like my grandson did with his heart condition they need to take more time with children and make sure they're diagnosing them properly and doing all the tests that they need to do because we had told them that there is heart disease and everything in the family and they just shrugged it off like we didn't know what we were talking about so if you guys can please take your children do not take them to the Brantford general

BRUTAL!!! Waited for 12 hours in intense back pain just to see the doctor for less than 5 minutes. Told to take tylenol and have some honey. They do not care about you!

They do the best with what they have ! Understaffed, overworked, and under funded. There are too many people in the area for this size of an ER to support. Too many people who use the ER inappropriately and increase everyones wait times. If the staff seems a little stiff I'm sure it's to protect themselves as they are yelled at all day long by entitled people ( like the ones giving one stars below) who seem to have no awareness that the healthcare system is drowning.

The worst emergency ever I went to in canada. I am in the hospital from evening with my 5 year old kid as he got severe hand pain. Now it's 3 am next day and still not seen by doctor. They don't even care even if it's a kid who need medical care.Long wait times and worst service. It's better to travel to any other city and go to emergency in brampton or mississauga instead of waiting here 8 hrs and not yet called to see doctor.

After experiencing a sudden loss of vision on Sunday, I rushed to the Brantford Hospital Emergency at 4am. I was experiencing an "eye stroke" and the black patch was growing. Instead of treating this as an emergency, they sat me in the waiting room for four hours until their resident eye doctor began her shift at 8:30am. By the time I was referred to the on call optometrist at 10am, who immediately sent me to London where some of the best eye doctors in South-Western Ontario work, it was too late. It was determined at 4pm that there was nothing to be done and my vision loss was now permanent. The time window to halt the damage was about 160 minutes after the first sign of symptoms. If I had been treated as soon as I got to the Brantford Hospital at 4am, things may have been different. To ask someone to wait 4 hours when they are in need of urgent, critical attention is unacceptable. If the resident didn't come in until 8am, then they should have called the on call optometrist or eye surgeon immediately. Maybe I wouldn't have lost as much of my vision as I now have to live with. I will never know. Unacceptable!

Very slow! Poor service! No doctors! They seem not to care! The building needs to come and hire new staff! Restructure the whole hospital! The city of Brantford need to come see this place! The Mayor of Brantford or the premiere of Ontario should come see how poor this place is. Very very bad structure! Useless hospital.

Emergency
Worst than walk-in clinics
Waited from 6pm till 1am still there were so many people ahead of me
Thought of going home and coming back after a little rest. and then they said the process will start over and again wait time is over 10 hours
What is the purpose of Emergency if they cant help right away.
Hire more people if you cant fasten up the process. Such a waste of time 😔
