Tout est très propre, le lit et les oreillers sont incroyablement douillets et confortable. Le propriétaire est accueillant et disponible. La vue sur la mer!|La cuisine commune a tout ce qu'il faut pour cuisiner et même plus. L'endroit a beaucoup de charme.

Tout juste à côté de la mer.. s'endormir au son des vagues et voir des icebergs de sa fenêtre.. magnifique!! Et que dire des hôtes très très chaleureux et déjeuner vraiment bon!! J'y retourne sans hésiter!!

We didn't know what to expect when we booked this location and I can tell you that it exceeded our expectation. The location was amazing across the street from the ocean and a very short drive to restaurants. Trails and Cape Bonavista Light house was just a short 5 min drive. The bedroom was beautifully kept and super clean. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed to make food. Herb and Janice were always available to answer any questions you had. Thank you Herb and Janice.

This is a very charming home built in the early 1900's. Janice and Herb are a lovely couple. The room was very comfortable and had an ensuite. There were robes and slippers provided. Hair dryer, curling iron, and a basket with many toiletries that we sometimes forget to bring. I was surprised that it also had a sitting room with lots of windows, with a couch, chair, coffee table and wardrobe. It didn't feel confining. A coffee machine & coffee was also in the room. The sunset was beautiful. There is a fire pit with seating overlooking the sea. Breakfast was very good. Various cereals, fruit, fresh blueberry teabuns as well as French toast was our menu that day. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if in the area. As a side note 3 of the rooms are upstairs so may not be a fit if you have mobility issues.

This was our first time staying at a B&B. |Pleasantly surprised, for sure. ||We went to Bonavista while touring around NL, and found many accommodations were booking up, as the day went on. The Butlers had one room left, so we booked it. ||Our room on the main floor was nice and comfortable. ||Ample parking, and basically Oceanside. ||Janice and Herb, were excellent. Breakfast was served in the dining room, for three couples. Great breakfast, with local jams made by Herb.||The coffee was made from iceberg ice (melted of course).|Kind of a neat touch considering, we saw several Icebergs in the area.||Would highly recommend for anyone traveling to the Bonavista area.||

We fell in love with Bonavista and Janice and Herb were a big part of that. They really did provide a home away from home in ‘Fisherman Jim’s’ room. Butlers by the sea really lives up to its name with stunning ocean views. The room was spacious and had everything we could have wished for while breakfast was superb. This really is a special place just sitting watching the sun go down over the ocean was a magical experience.

We stayed 2 nights in the Fishermen Simeon room which was comfortable for the three of us to sit around in the evening. The fireplace was cozy and the pull out couch served my daughter well for sleeping at night. My daughter had an issue with the Jacuzzi as the jets were not in a clean state and was noticeable when turning on the jets after she got in.... ||||Breakfast was fresh with many options but no meat protein was offered which was disappointing as some bacon or ham would have sealed the deal. ||||Our hosts were very nice and made us feel at home and the location was second to none.

We stayed here Sept. 6/18. Our room was large, gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. There was a fireplace in our bedroom which gave warmth & ambiance. This house was built in 1902 and Herb inherited it at the age of 13, so you have a true Newfoundlander home and owner. It is located right on the ocean in Bonavista. There was even salted cod curing out in the yard. The breakfast that Janice and Herb served us in the morning was abundant, hot and filling! You will get a feeling of Newfoundland hospitality when you stay here. Thanks Janice and Herb....Mark and Sharon, Brantford
