My parents lived here very comfortably for 2 years and were well cared for by staff and enjoyed all of the programming. Unfortunately as my mother started to decline we were forced to move her to a different place with a higher level of care. She passed recently and my Dad could not wait to return to Chartwell. They made it so easy for him to transition back and he is delighted to be back with the excellent team at Georgian Traditions.

My Dad moved into Chartwell’s Georgian Traditions in Collingwood this past June and was rough at the beginning as my Mom had passed away and he has mild dementia. After 3 months the staff were so very supportive and were instrumental in helping him adjust to his new life. My parents moved to Chartwell about 6 months ago. After several hospitalizations and medical issues it was apparent they could no longer live in their home of 60 years. Transitions are difficult, but more so for people in their 90’s. The staff was and continues to be patient,caring and understanding. My parents speak so highly about the employees, the meals and many of the other residents they have met. I feel more at ease with my parents being able to live independently and also receive the support they need

I am a professional musician and have an opportunity to visit many retirement residences, and I can tell you that Chartwell, Georgian traditions in Collingwood set the bar very high when it comes to making the residents feel at home and supported. The staff starting from the senior management to every member of the team go out of their way to ensure that everyone is happy and looked after. What an amazing place to visit! Our local Beaver and Cub groups have frequented the home often, participating in seasonal themed recreation and craft activities with the residents. Both the kids and elders have so much fun, and are so comfortable in the space together. It creates memories for both the young, and the young at heart! We are excited to return time and time again.
