Wonderful clinic, I had a great experience with Dr. Grewal. I felt that my pets were in very good hands and I could tell that Dr. Grewal really cares about his patients. I can’t recommend them enough. Even my cat, Melman, said “meow meow brrt meow” which translates to “I love this clinic”!

Moved to Chestermere in 2022 and the prices for this vet were crazy, we settled for some random vet in Calgary which we couldn’t stand. In 2023, due to another flare up of my dogs pancreatitis, we decided to try again and noticed not only the prices were WAY more affordable, but the new vet (who happens to be the new owner) is AMAZING. He listened to us about our dogs needs and made a point to make sure we felt valued. My dogs don’t even fear getting their vaccines from him or even notice it happening. I would recommend him and his staff for miles away

I’ve been a loyal client at Chestermere Vet for years, primarily seeing Dr. Gabbie, who has always provided exceptional care for my dogs. Unfortunately, my recent experience with another vet left me deeply disappointed and distressed.

In early September, I brought my 12-year-old dog in for injections to help with his mobility issues. The vet immediately suggested my dog might have stomach cancer, which was shocking and frightening news. After performing X-rays and blood tests, he confirmed a growth that was hemorrhaging and possibly attached to the liver. The way this information was delivered felt cold and clinical, especially when discussions about euthanasia began almost immediately.

What added to my distress was being asked to choose an urn while we were still trying to say goodbye to our beloved dog. It felt incredibly inappropriate to discuss prices for urns during such an emotional moment. Furthermore, I was taken aback when the staff insisted on processing payment before the procedure, while I was lying on the floor with my dog. It seemed insensitively transactional in a time of profound grief.

Additionally, the vet struggled to find a vein for the euthanasia, which caused my dog unnecessary stress. He had to shave multiple spots and poke him several times, which was heartbreaking to witness.

This experience was far from the compassionate care I had always associated with your clinic and made an already painful situation even more distressing. I hope this feedback encourages a more sensitive approach in similar situations in the future.

I have had a really great experience overall with this vet. My dog, Jake, needed surgery for an aural hematoma. This was my first experience with needing vet care other than his yearly vaccinations, so I am definitely a bit anxious about the whole thing. I appreciate very much that the clinic and Dr. Grewal always take the time to break down the costs of everything and provide a detailed quote before proceeding. They have been excellent to deal with, showing patience and kindness after my multiple calls and emails following his surgery (turns out he has an infection as well). The communication is great, and they always check in to see how Jake is doing. I really appreciate everything they have done for us! Thank you so much!
