I’m pretty disappointed with this hospital. I came in there shaking and they ignored me for 3 hours. I went to leave because they were ignoring me and they tried to coax me back in after I watched a Doordash delivery guy bring food to the doctor that was ignoring me. Your stomach is more important than your patients? A job is a job. You don’t get to ignore people and order Doordash because you went to school for ten years. Sorry. That’s absolutely pathetic. You should be embarrassed. Hope you enjoyed your door dash doc. Couldn’t even have the courtesy to give my prescription to me personally and as I left I saw him stuffing his face with fast food. You’re not a doctor, you’re a fraud and you’re in the wrong business.

One of the worst places I've been. Even before I got in I could tell they didn't want to help me. Was in the ER for 6 hours and I just walked out. Nurses have time to make sure you feel uncomfortable but never help. I tried going back to get my antibiotics cause that's all I needed they refused to give me my medication

Terrible.
My mother was admitted there on September 4 and passed away October 3. The care was subpar and we never had any answers on why she was getting worse. My mother had COPD and her mask was off of her face for God knows how long before a nurse came in the room and found her and from there she died within 24 hours. They Failed at doing a lumbar puncture for a test after waiting a week only to learn the test had to be redone. I had asked nurses to have the doctor call me and nobody reached out. Find another hospital if you truly want attentive care for a loved one. The staff here and the doctor really failed my mother. To make matters worse, my mother was never confirmed for a specific syndrome, but yet they put that as the tertiary cause of death on her death certificate.

Fantastic. I waited 1 hour and a half to be seen on a Friday. I went at 9 am or so. I would never want to work in the healthcare industry. Too many people love to complain, but it's a privilege.

Brought my son today for his dental surgery that had been booked months prior. The schedule was at 10:15AM we checked in at 10, and waited at the waiting area for an hour and half! So I don’t understand the schedule they provided if they won’t commit!

We finally made it to the ward, they brought a gown to dress up my son, checked his vital signs and made sure he was ok before the surgery. Once the check up was done we then waited for another hour or so. Until the ER manager came up to us and said they will reschedule the surgery due to an emergency patient the doctor needed to attend to. Wow! We understand the emergency scenario, but wasting people’s time is not a joke. We had to book time off work, my son had to be excused from class and the days of preparing him before the surgery all went to waste! Very unorganized..

Update: January 30,2024. I go in with severe stomach pains and lower back pains. Doctor Karelie PRETORIUS comes in doesn't look at me, mumbles her name and sits down. She asked what I needed, I tell her the problems I'm having, She asks me to lay down and pushs twice on my stomach (not in the spot I told her was hurting) tells me I'm ok and says she'll just order a bunch of tests and asks me to leave I then wanted to ask about refills on my medication
She then proceeded to tell me after she pulls her mask down that she does not need to be here and that i needed to stop asking questions now, Basically making me feel unimportant. All this happened in our 6 min interaction after waiting from 8am to 1:15pm in walk-in. Just awful
Very dirty hospital, takes MONTHS to see a DR. Wait times are extremely long, and when you get to actually make an appointment you have to wait HOURS anyways. Doctors/surgeons don't want to do their jobs. Do not waste your time and risk your health here.
My Indigenous mother was also treated terribly here years ago
