Men's mental health help is non existent, it's extremely disappointing that the staff and doctors don't care about a father's struggle and parental alienation

Very unhappy with my two meetings with a Dr.Augustine. My first visit was straight forward explaining my mental health symptoms, I forgot to mention some of my newer medication and told him I was on a medication that has not changed my symptoms since I’ve been on it for the past 6 months. He wasn’t the most friendly of doctors but he wrote quite a few notes. Today on my second visit, he completely forgot we ever met, he had to be briefed on who I was. I gave him a list of my medication and a fax number to send my insurance documents of our meeting, He told I had to email it to him, when I asked for his email he took the paper and read it, my medication list was put off to the side. He asked me why I was meeting with him, and to explain what’s wrong with me, I told him he wrote notes from the last time, I asked if we could use those to go over my problems, he didn’t respond, he told me my insurance wouldn’t care what he said they give me an independent psychiatrist. Then why are they asking you for a report doctor? I asked if he remembered me or anything from our last meeting and of course he just stared at me again. What a waste of time meeting with a doctor that couldn’t even spend five minutes to review notes from our first session. To add to that he was 15 minute late. With dr.augustine you’re just another number to him. I hope anyone with mental health problems will see this and know you’re not alone...This place is no help...

Whether it's the office assistant or the psychiatrist, not calling in advance to verify appointments, then not sending the meeting email, then, when you call in a panic to request the meeting, stating you're being discharged without reason, then berating your psychiatric patient for being emotional before hanging up on them is at best irresponsible, and at worst encourages suicide.
