We held our fall wedding (70 guests) at Cross Zee Ranch and it was amazing!! Brenda and Jim were incredibly helpful to us throughout the whole booking process, allowing us to come by again prior to our wedding to check things out and answering our many questions. They went above and beyond to help us out during our wedding, helped with parking and locked things up at the end of the night. The weather was good, and we had the canva walls rolled up during cocktail hour. After the sun set, we rolled down the walls and turned on the fire in the middle of the donut. It was such a fun wedding venue and we had many of our guests compliment us on the view and the relaxed feeling of the donut. I HIGHLY recommend having your wedding or event here.

We booked Cross Zee Ranch for our western themed wedding rehearsal dinner (120 guests) and the venue was AMAZING. Brenda and her Husband were incredibly helpful and attentive to our needs. They went above and beyond to make sure our wedding weekend got off to a great start and we can not recommend their venue enough!

While the property is undeniably beautiful, I’m writing to share a concerning incident from June 21, 2025 during a wedding I was hired to DJ at Cross Zee Ranch. The owners’ dog bit me aggressively on the leg, and while the owners (Jim and Brenda) attempted first aid, their response was alarmingly unprepared—relying on alcohol wipes and gauze without proper cleaning. Thankfully, I found a nurse from the catering company who stepped in to disinfect and dress the wound correctly, noting the risk of infection (I was later prescribed antibiotics after spending a half day in urgent care).

This dog has demonstrated repeated aggression: the caterers also shared that it jumped on their vehicle earlier in the week during a site visit, scratching it and trapping them inside until Jim intervened. A dog with this temperament poses a serious risk at a family-oriented venue—imagine if this had happened to a child. As a professional DJ, this injury has forced me to cancel gigs and lose significant income as I have a hard time standing let alone walking. That’s besides the fact, my greater concern is the owners’ lack of urgency or protocol for such incidents.

The following day I did some googling on Cross Zee Ranch and I discovered a 2012 TripAdvisor review (photo attached) where Jim’s dog was loose on the horse trail and spooked the horses, throwing a rider (luckily unharmed). The owner’s response then? Avoided dealing with it. Sound familiar? Fast forward to 2025: The same owner, his dog bites me during a wedding, charged caterers’ cars days earlier. This isn’t bad luck it’s a pattern of reckless disregard for guest safety.

**For future clients**: If you’re already booked at Cross Zee Ranch, DEMAND proof this dog is no longer on-site. A child won’t walk away as easily as I did. Also, confirm safety measures are in place as they had zero protocol and disappeared after the incident occurred failing to file and incident report of the situation. I share this hoping the owners will reconsider housing the dog on-site, or at least implement safety protocols to protect future guests.

Booked the night before on short notice due to our busy schedule and the owner accomodated us very well. Great price and friendly service and most of all the ride was safe and comfortable and no concerns with the horses whatsoever - glad we went!

Finally my dream came true here on Cross Zee Ranch and it was epic! We did one hour horse back riding and definitely will come back again for two hours one 😉 our guide Veronika was super friendly and very knowledgeable so we could feel safe and fully enjoy our ride. Thank you so much Zee Ranch for this opportunity to fulfill my dream to do horseback riding in such a beautiful mountain setting. I hope one day you will offer multi-day tour as well.. 😉
