We've been buying Dan-D Pak Oats for a long time and never had any issues with the product. The last 3 packages purchased at the same time did not cook very well. It’s as if there were some steal cut oats mixed in. After following the cooking instructions on the package there were still some hard crunchy bits (tasted uncooked). I tried soaking the oats first but still found crunchy bits after cooking. Also two of the bags had an old/stale smell when I opened them. This was surprising because the Best Before dates still had approximately 8 months to go. The stale bags were replaced, however the first new package that was opened also had a slight old/stale smell. All the bags were airtight and puffy so perhaps the air that got in during the packaging process caused them to get that stale smell since the Best Before dates on the new packages was May and June, 2024. I notified the company and was told that they had no consumer related issues to the oats in question. The last package that was opened was fine. I guess we were just unlucky with the first 5...

I recently purchased Dan D raw almonds at a highway 401 rest stop. They were rancid. The expiration date was June 2024. I could not return them as I was traveling. Very disappointing.
