Picked up a 5lb chuck roast on June 10th to make pulled beef sandwiches. It looked good and wasn’t off-colour but absolutely reeked like old cheese.

I phoned Darcy’s to express my concern and was assured that it’s common from cryo-packed meat so I prepped it and put it on the smoker. This is 6 hours into the cook. I took it out to wrap for the stall and my whole kitchen smells like cheese.

I’ve been smoking meat for 13 years and have never encountered beef that smells so bad, especially after sitting on smoke for 6 hours. I’ve had good experiences buying from Darcy’s in the past but this one triggers a gag reflex at the smell so I’m trusting my nose on this one and tossing it.

Our favorite butcher shop! They provide a huge variety of meat and seafood options, fresh and frozen. They also have meat boxes you can purchase at affordable pricing to stock your freezer! Their packages of shrimp are some of the best tasting shrimp around. Looking for large portions of meat? They cut to your desired size and weight. Great quality and great place.

Ordered beef of baron for 25 guests for a party and we had zero leftovers. The meat was absolutely phenomenal and all of our guests raved!!! Customer service arranging was also top notch can’t wait to have another reason to order for a party again!

We have really loved the ground beef, when it’s on sale we stock up. Delicious chicken as well, tastes like it used to when I was a kid. I forgot how good chicken is until I had the ones from D’Arcy’s Meat Market.
