My rating of 'OK' has more to do with the fact that a hospital visit can never be 'great' (at least in my humble opinion)... All things told, DRDH ends up being a better experience than most elsewhere. ER wait times are increasing noticeably these days, probably due to the spillover from other nearby hospitals. Very courteous and professional staff.

If you had to stay in a hospital, you'd want it to be this one! Nursing and other staff are second to none. Emergency services are great, waiting times are reasonable. Very good hospital, considering the size of the town. Helipad onsite, ambulance service is right next door.

We try to avoid this hospital due to a regular nurse in emergency who has serious issues. Upon taking patients symptoms she actually asked why she should? Ummm, it is your job!!! You are a nurse are you not. We took her name and if we get her in emergency we record her behavior it is that bad. Stay safe people and avoid dangerous hospital staff.

Wait times are just as bad as the pembroke hospital. I would rather drive to Renfrew or ottawa than come back here. Waiting almost 6 hours for stiches is ridiculous. The cut will have already started to heal by than. What's the point of wasting our time even more? Not impressed especially after hearing that this is a good hospital.

My travelling companion developed Norovirus on a trip to Ottawa. Fortunately, we were near Deep River and the great Emergency Department at the Deep River Hospital.
The staff there were great.........totally friendly and professional.

I went to this hospital at 10:45 am on saturday. Waited 10 minutes and the nurse called me in. I asked her how is the wait and she said 2 hours. I came back after 1 hour 50 minutes and waited another 2 hours. So it had been 4 hours and still no news, gave in and walked away.

I think Rosemary is a physio genius. Can't speak for the other therapists, but she figured out the problem right away after years of pain in my back. The doctor and the chiropractor couldn't help, but now I'm all fixed.
