Dr Bates is amazing! He stayed with me every step of my treatment. He is kind, compassionate and actually listens. He is willing to try method after method untill we together find a solution, remedy and eventual cure. He has a great sense of humor and is fully transparent with you. He and his team at the Woman's Clinic in the Brantford General Hospital are welcoming, comforting and provide outstanding care. I highly recommend Br.Bates!

He was my OB the night before I was induced. He had to do a cervical exam for dilation and was by far the most inappropriate and disgusting doctor I've ever had. When doing the exam he made sexual comments and his demeanor made me extremely uncomfortable.

Dr. Bates was amazing during my OB care and labour. He was very understanding of my previous birth experience (with another provider) which was very traumatic to myself and my husband and helped us feel comfortable while having our second baby.

Dr bates delivered both my boys . Most of the time I would just have casual conversation in his office about his kids and mine . Vary kind and funny man . I have never felt rushed, and I have always felt like he listened . Honestly the best dr I have ever met! I will always request to have dr bates as my obgyn when I decide to have more . I'm good with 2 right now though . He deserves more the 5 stars.

I met Dr Bates in the ER at BGH. A mass had been spotted on my ovary, so he came to assess. He was very reassuring and kind, explaining what our next steps were and giving me his office number. I needed blood work to check for cancer, so I went in to see him a few days later once the results were in. He was sympathetic to my pain and said he would get me in for surgery as soon as possible. He wanted to call some of his friends in the cancer center to see if I could get in quicker. He contacted me later that day and connected me with another doctor in Juravinski who would see me the following day. He worked very hard to ensure I got the best and most urgent care possible. Thanks Dr Bates.

He wasn't my obgyn during my pregnancy, but he delivered my baby in BGH. Could not have asked for a better OB, his experience and expertise made a quick entrance to the world of my little princess. Very happy he was there to deliver my baby.
