While I don't have much experience as a patient in this facility, I can appreciate their staff. Around Christmas of 2022 I was taking my exams at the local high school.Because of my own personal and financial issues, I went to school despite not having an exam that day to access town without spending money on travel (bus). Obviously, I was stressed from exams. I thought I could take a short walk on a trail and listen to some music. However, this is where I met a lovely older couple assisting a lady on the ground, having fallen. This lady was disoriented and shivering in the cold, which was concerning in itself, moreover so when she insisted she go to the hospital. I offered to assist her to the hospital as it was right around the corner, and I am able to support her as an able body teen if needed. While I started talking to her I quickly realized she was worse off than I had thought, worried I only made it a short distance before I saw that we were not going to make it to the hospital. While on call with 911, the dispatch noted that she needed to get out of the cold. Noting my surroundings, this is where the lovely staff come in. Walking in, I proceeded to the desk with little issues mobility wise told the ladies my situation and was able to quickly convey everything I needed. The staff were very helpful in providing the emergency people with the correct address and medical opinion when I handed the phone over. Staff were not only able to help get her seated with a blanket and warmed but also quickly brought her to an accessible room for paramedics that was able to give her some privacy. I was also helped at this time, perhaps not physically, but I was reassured and allowed to stay temporarily by her side. I won't get into anything beyond that for privacy reasons of both myself and the sweet lady. Although I have not since returned or know much else about the situation, I am grateful for not only their medical abilities but also their kindness in relieving my anxiety by going beyond their job description. While I didn't speak about the incident much after it occurred I couldn't stop thinking about how I never got the chance to show my appreciation and how they made a stressful situation lift my spirits for many days after. Although I doubt any of you will see this, I hope you know I appreciate you! ?
