I had been assigned Sam L. for design on a new build. I have been waiting since February for an estimate to take to the bank on material pricing. We'll it's July. I have left messages and attended in person. I'm still waiting.
Anneliese has been fantastic. That's why there are 1 stars. Otherwise, should be rated by staff experience.
I wasn't contacted to date for my costs related to material
Don't seem keen for business. Or indirectly saying go elsewhere....
Anneliese is a 5 hands down.
I was hoping to be in my new home for Christmas. At this rate: maybe when I am 65.
Excuses given: "You don't know how long you have to wait in your end for a permit." According to RM within a week. This ditty was imparted on my introduction to the draft department.
To date i have not been contacted for material pricing. This review had a response by a manager. So guess what? My business isn't needed either.
To date i have purchased lighting, faucets. So really it doesn't matter in the long run.
I was going to purchase cabinetry as well.

Super quick unload here—no long waits, which is always a plus. They take deliveries from 8 AM to 5 PM, and it’s first come, first serve, so getting in early helps. Overall, a smooth and easy drop-off!

Do NOT hire this company for anything air conditioning related. This company did the original installation in my condo building back in 2014 and used incorrect sized lines for the mini split connections. I have a different company installing a new mini split in my condo unit and their supplier tried to find a copper line identical to what was installed, and could not. My project is now delayed because of improper construction practices. I also called the company and asked for proof of what was installed (O&Ms) and was told that they had no record of it. Pretty shady if you ask me. Make sure to hire a reputable company (not EG Penner) for new builds.
They also wanted to charge me $400 for servicing the unit that THEY installed when every other company I called charged $120 plus tax. Absolute rip-off and unethical.

went to pick up supplies for my husband, and when I walked out the door they offered me a beautiful flowering begonia! That was the best part 🙂 two days before mothers day...(:(:

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in Steinbach!! Rude, unprofessional and disrespectful! I came in looking for simple Nut, asked 5 different people for help, was told to google it, next person simply refused to help, because he was going on break soon, next didn’t know, one tried but wasn’t sure, last refused, didn’t feel like getting his butt out of his chair….very impressive!

Very knowledgeable technician fixing a mixup made by a DIYer (me). Knowledge of their Goodman furnaces & AC units. Well worth the cost of a service call. AND, I’m calling them FIRST next time…Roy W, an excellent tech.

Today's experience at EG Penner was exceptional. The lady service desk attendant and the individual who assisted with loading were both incredibly helpful and cheerful, demonstrating top-tier customer service with their positive attitudes.

Would it hurt you to smile and say hello? Obviously it does and every staff member we passed did neither. Last $260 I will be spending there. We will be replacing our double outswing garden door this year but not through Penner’s. Second time we have been in your store and the first time the only person that helped us was the Jeldwen Rep. All other staff all seemed to have something better to do. We notice another young lady wandering around trying to find things to no avail. The only reason we purchased here was the item we wanted we couldn’t find anywhere else for the same price.

We moved out to this area just over a year ago and every other non-lumber store we have been to we have received great service. if people stop or slow down on building these stores will be in big trouble.

It will be worth the trip to go to the city for better service.
