I'm only leaving this publicly as there is no email formme to send feedback into the office. Dr. Elms is very hard to get in with, even when he is your family doctor. The office is so great at booking my kids in with the next available doctor when possible, but we have seen other doctors more often than Elms that they have started to feel uncomfortable taking us as we're not their patients. Dr. Elms made us wait almost an hr last time I took my baby and toddler in around 4pm, so they were bouncing off the walls by then. A few weeks later I called to say I was running 10 mins late (due to babysitter running late on a snowy day) and he cancelled my appt that I had waited just under two weeks for. Now I'm waiting 3 weeks for him to read a test result about my son because he's on holidays. And they want me to book on with him specifically as hes my doctor. We rarely see him. If he's really concerned he can read our files. I appreciate that they have been getting us into the earliest available alternate doctor but it now seems like they don't want to be doing that (likely for payment reasons). I'm just really annoyed at how we have to wait so long to see him (weeks for an appt) he's always very late, and then cancels at any sign of him not getting out of the office on time. I also had an issue crop up and he was not at all preventative about it. It ended up becoming an infection which led to many visits, I ran to emerge, took medicine for it...weeks of pain. And it was definitely preventable as per emerge staff and other doctors I saw about it. So if you need referrals, he's your guy. Anything else, I'd recommend another doctor.

Dr Lorna Hruby was an awful doctor, went for an ADHD assessment and was appalled at the behavior of this so called specialist

not only did her suggestions make zero sense(such as putting in an application for a job somewhere and then returning every two days to ask about it to see if i got the job) but she was also super pushy about medications of which i do not want to take given poor experiences in the past(which i did inform her about)

its a total waste of time and she judges based on how you look
DO NOT see her for anything

I have been a patient with this clinic since before it was Focus Health. I saw Dr. Pashniak from my teens until adulthood and now Dr. Elms has taken care of me and my family through 2 pregnancies and a million milestone check - ups for my girls. He's kind and relateable and he goes the extra mile with all our care. The front desk staff, Nurses and other Doctors have all been amazing to deal with as well. I have moved to the deep south of Calgary but as long as we can stay with Focus Health we will.

We (family with 3 kids) have been patients of this clinic for a couple of years. Our physician, Dr. Fong is wonderful: approachable, very competent and kind. Whenever we have been looked after by her locums or colleagues, they have been outstanding as well. Whereas the physicians and nursing staff are great, I also wanted to give a shout out to their front desk medical assistants: always working hard to accommodate bookings, kind and respectful on the phone. Norm Yee is such an outstanding doctor and Clinician, I feel so fortunate to have him as my doctor. Everyone I’ve dealt with in the practice has been kind and understanding. It’s an amazing group of physicians and staff. I highly recommend both Norm and focus health clinic.
