Josée is one of a kind! She was our midwife and is so knowledgeable, we felt 100% confident to do a home birth in her care. I’ll be honest, at first I wasn't sure if we’d be up for a home birth but after doing our research and learning about the process in hospital vs at home, a home birthwas definitely the right choice for our family. Emily was the second midwife at our home birth and she was also phenomenal. They take their time during all prenatal and post natal appointments, not like a doctor’s office where they rush you out. We will definitely be taking the midwifery route for all future pregnancies. Can’t thank the generations team enough!

Very disappointed and would not recommend this service to anyone. I have tried calling numerous times, have sent in 2 applications requesting care, and have left voicemails. They haven't had the courtesy of responding, even just to let me know they don't have availability, if that is the case. Having had a traumatic first hospital birth, I was really hoping to experience the wonderful things I've heard about midwives with my second birth. Not true of this organization. Extremely poor standard of patient care. I will not be reaching out again in future, and they have destroyed my opinion of midwifery care.

We had Leah as our midwife for the home birth of both of our girls. Words can not fully express our gratitude and love for her. I can't imagine having these experiences with anyone else. She is one of the most loving, caring, and intelligent people I've ever met.

Leah is absolutely perfect for this job and role in our community. She is extremely knowledgeable in everything and puts the health and safety of the family first. She worked extremely hard for months to make my wife's birth as safe and comfortable as possible. Through the entire process she was extremely communicative and is never more than a phone call away. During the actual birth process she was always present but still allowed my wife and I the time and space to fully share in the experience.

On the technical side, Leah is a true professional. Clearly educated at the highest level and very experienced. Her organization and preparedness is is extremely impressive. She knows all the safety rules, regulations, guidelines, etc, including COVID and follows them closely, keeping the general safety of our community in mind.

I feel sad for anyone who has to have their birth experience without someone like Leah with them. The pure joy and love on her face as she caught our babies and genuine pride she showed for my wife is something that we will remember forever. For us she will always be family.

Our only regret in the entire pregnancy and birthing process is having Leah as our midwife. So much so that we requested to have care transferred before even being discharged from the hospital. I won't go too far into the details, as I've already submitted a formal complaint with the College of Midwives of Ontario. What I can tell you is if you're looking for someone to advocate for you during your hospital experience, or even just someone who knows hospital policies, look elsewhere! If you value authenticity, integrity or accountability, you'll be very disappointed.

Next time we'll just stick with an OB.

Unfortunately, this midwifery practice does not respond to inquiries by phone or email. After they contacted me via email and I responded to their request for information, I have attempted to contact them 7-8 times, both by phone and email for an update. They state on their voicemail that they will return messages however this is truly not the case. I am extremely disappointed to not be able to reach anyone, at anytime. It does not instill confidence.

I’ll be honest, my first expierence with generations in 2020 wasn’t my favourite, but the second time with my second son was absolutely incredible. Sarah was my midwife and I was absolutely blown away by the care and attention she gave me. She answered every question I had, put me at ease about my home birth, constantly provided a non judgemental, respectful, caring environment. Was very easy to get ahold of always, always was there for me and my million questions and spent the time to get to know my family (my first son and my mom) as well as me. Her little personal touches really made this pregnancy great for me. I am due to deliver my baby any day now, and I have the upmost confidence because of Sarah and the team at generations. Highly recommend them for anyone birthing in the brockville area. I’m so glad they were part of our birth story.
