A very good experience with a wisdom tooth extraction. In and out in about 30 min. Facility is spotlessly clean. The nurses and staff are pleasant and attentive. The Doctor is very professional and efficient. Fully painless extraction and recovery. Only did 4 stars as the current system required a billed dentist referral followed by a billed OMF consult before the actual billed procedure.

Lovely staff and office but wasted over a year of my time and a surgical procedure in the process of trying to get dental implants (which I still haven't received).
Edit: For context, I had done 4 years of braces & gotten a bone graft on my jaw to prepare myself for implants (on top of countless scans and appointments), but was called the night before the implant surgery to be told my teeth had shifted just a touch too much. No real path forward was given, and 3 years down the line I still haven't gotten any other orthodontic work as I no longer have dental coverage. It was realistically not entirely this clinics fault, but the situation was handled poorly.

Travelled over 2 hours for a Wisdom Tooth consult appointment and when I got there they told me that they went and cancelled my appointment because I already had a consult last year. I told them my teeth have moved significantly in the last year and they then told me I would have to make another consult appointment for next week. This all could’ve been avoided if the receptionist had of just done her job right and called and told me ahead of time or didn’t just assume my teeth have stayed in the same position for the past year.

Everyone could not have been more friendly, pleasant and professional. Surgery went well and was very quick. When I was feeling a bit woozy afterwards they quickly put a cold cloth on my forehead and gave me juice (even held it so I could sip from the straw and stay reclined!) and even followed up the next day with a call to see how I was doing. So glad to have this clinic so close as this was an issue I put off for years because of having to travel outside of the county and my general anxiety about dentists

I have just had oral surgery performed by Dr. Duncan Macintyre. I have to say that in my (almost) 75 years on this planet, I have never had such a professional and thorough experience with a dental surgeon. I was operated on for a horribly bad tooth, and was out of surgery before it seemed that the operation had begun. This surgeon is brilliant! The staff at his clinic were all knowledgeable and caring as well. The clinic is clean and has a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Very positive experience from start to finish. Every staff member I directly, and indirectly, met were very professional and welcoming. For me, the atmosphere was great, the consult brief and very informative, and the surgery happened as described. Follow-up phone call the day after surgery was a really professional and nice touch. Thankful for easy access to this business.

My rating in not 1. It’s an absolute ZERO!!!!

Just drove to this place in New Glasgow to have a tooth removed by a specialist. Took the day off of school.
I go into the office to have my blood pressure taken. Ask if they have a mirror so I can make sure they are taking the correct tooth out… ( meaning the tooth I think I’m having taken out) he says “we don’t have a mirror” in a rude voice. The assistant states that they do have a mirror and that she will go get it. He gave me an awful look like he was annoyed. So after I confirm that it’s the tooth I’m hoping that I’m having out. He proceeds to tell me what will take place. He explains that because the root is the way it is, if when he extracts the tooth he may have to do a skin graph after the removal of the root. He also explains that this will cost alot more. So I expressed that I wasn’t prepared to do that and that my reason for coming to a specialist was so that I could have the root removed. If I had known there was going to be extra costs than what I was made aware of over the phone. (I had asked three times what the cost would be) that I wouldn’t have came to a specialist. Just had gone to a regular dentist.
Anyway he says to go to another dentist that he’s not going to help me, I said “are you serious? I just drove all the way here?” And he said “I have the right to refuse people and I feel that we don’t get along and that you’re going to be a problem”…..

I just can’t even believe this. Dentists today are something else. They are very rude and unhelpful. This is not my first bad experience with a dentist.

When someone goes into these places, they have high anxiety perhaps and would probably appreciate some comfort. Not to be disrespected and made to feel like they don’t matter. Just absolutely upset and disgusted. Dr. Macintyre you should be ashamed of yourself.
