On Saturday, July 5, I took my 14 year-old grandson into Haliburton Hospital because of some severe pain in his groin. We were seen immediately even though there was some people waiting in the waiting room and a doctor came to us immediately. Both the intern doctor and doctor examined my grandson and then ordered an ultrasound immediately. Their service, understanding, privacy for a 14-year-old boy was extremely professional while I remained in the room with him. We were then fortunate enough that there was a cancellation this morning for us to go for another ultrasound on his kidneys and bladder. We were taken ahead of a few people sitting in triage, but that’s because they were concerned of the severity of the pain and where the pain was.
In closing their service, care, professionalism, and privacy were outstanding. I would like to thank all of the staff, nurses and doctors for taking excellent care of my grandson.

worst hospital anyone could ever possibly come to. you’d be better off to drive 4 hours to a different hospital then stay and wait at the haliburton hospital

Tried to triage me three times in a row so I could have an x-ray done? Came in with severe chest pain and they offered me nasal spray to clean my sinuses. My sinuses are cleaner than ever. I do not have a cold, my chest is in severe pain and I don’t know why. Also asked me about “results to a blood test”
You guys never took my blood? But you have results… I think I’ll go to the city lol

Checked into Haliburton hospital with chest pain. After waiting 2 hours a Mother brought her child in with an ear ache who infact came after me. They where seen before me. Couldnt believe it. You'd think they would be a little more concerned if you are complaining of chest pain. But you are infact just a # not a real human being. I was eventually, given the results from my heart scan. Youd think the doctor would at least inform of my heart scan results, and not let me sit for 2 hours. Well thanks for letting me know Doctor God. It seems at this hospital they pick and choose who they see first. Than they wonder why I was upset. I see now a days you cant expect proper care in our health system. I would definitely stay away from this hospital if you feel you have something life threatening, as you may not walk out.....

A family member had a life threatening condition and was given absolutely top notch care. Dr was smart, direct and compassionate. Rooms were clean and nurses were courteous. Tremendously appreciative of the incredible care for my loved one.

We took my Father in Law to Emergency at Haliburton Hospital last Thursday with signs of a stroke ... although the triage took a bit, once in the ER the staff and attending Dr.s were incredibly thorough, communicative and listened to what had transpired. Although all hospitals in this province suffer from bed shortages and hallway medicine, this hospital and its staff (shout out to Dr. Walton) were outstanding!!! Compared to our hospital in Newmarket, where if you survive the ER you might have a fighting chance to make it ... Haliburton Hospital was top notch! A big thank you to the staff for coming up with what appears to be the correct diagnosis and treatment and not dumping him out on the curb but making sure he is recovering properly. Thank you!

Read some negative reviews but i had a completely different experience.
Had some chest pains, dizziness and went to the ER. Was seen in about 20-30 minutes. Staff was super friendly and very professional.
Dr Ali had a very good bedside manner and after running some tests assured me that I was ok.
Left a few hours later feeling 100% better.
Thank you to the staff and even the Security Person at the Haliburton Hospital ER.

Today, Family Day, I needed to go to the emergency and chose haliburton hospital due to the proximity, it was busy. It was a long weight, almost 5 hours, by the time I was actually seen by a Doctor a wonderful Doctor named Anna and her X-ray technician. I believe is Heather and a nurse that administered the prescription they were fantastic. And then I remember that they gave up Family Day

To be there for me today, so thank you for that.
