Price gouging like this should be illegal. I'm a Halifax-based designer doing work for a client in Chatham. They recommended this Instant Print because they have a business account.

The estimate was SO HIGH I was sure it was a mistake. One charge on the invoice was $93.50 for 25 black and white letter size single-sided photocopies. If it had been $20 I would have thought that a rip off, but $93.50? I actually called because I thought it HAD to be a mistake. The guy just kept saying "those are our prices." I read out the invoice to him and checked with him multiple times (because I honestly couldn't believe it,) but he just kept repeating "those are our prices"

For context, earlier this week I printed 25 double sided colour postcards that had to be trimmed from a print shop I consider to be over-priced here in Halifax and the cost was 1/3rd of the cost of these 25 photocopies. And here they had it done in a couple hours, Instaprint quoted me 3 business days.

I told my client that I'd get them printed some where else, because for that price I could charge him my hourly rate, print them myself and mail them to him for half the cost and he'd get them sooner.

What the hell is going on with this place?

Absolutely fantastic customer service! Todd helped me with ordering and printing some lawn signs. The time to get them was faster than anticipated and they turned out great. In addition to that, Todd went above and beyond by making a tutorial video for a question I had. Hats off to you, sir!
