I am rating this a hospital a 3 star because of my second visit. My 1st visit would have been a 1 star. My second visit was a 5 star.

In 2022 I had my son at this hospital and as a first time mom it was a very bad experience. The doctor used forceps tool, my baby was stuck and she cause damage to his left arm. I was not explained what those tools were and the potential risk. Then they delayed my child referral for his arm by messing up my contact information. Which took longer for him to get help for his arm. The doctor post followup was the worst. The staff in the delivery and post delivery were the worst, except the night post delivery black nurse. Worst experience.

In 2024 I refused to delivered my 2nd baby at this hospital, but my new OB doctor made the experience a lot different. With my 2nd child, this time the Doctor and her team was great. From pre delivery, during delivery and post delivery was great. I had a great experience. Even when Dr. Habiba follow up after delivery was great.
So I have mix feelings about this hospital.

Was referred by my family Dr for an imaging ( complex ) procedure . In a nutshell this hospital is a first world equipped institution with top notch specialists, nurses and administrative personnel that only exist in you dream world. Friendly people with a honest giving attitude made me feel well taken cared for; something not so common in other so called first world countries where there seems to be a permanent chip on the shoulder or a plastic annoyed smile just to comply with customer service satisfaction . This review is for the 3 staff that conducted my MRI this morning. I have had an MRI before and I was anxious / panicky the entire time. This experience was the complete opposite. The technicians/nurses made the entire process easy and helped to keep me calm. I am 19 weeks pregnant and they ensured I was comfortable and reassured me that the baby was safe. I got to listen to music during the MRI which was so helpful, and the technician talked to me throughout the 20+ minute process. Kindness, patience and compassion really go a long way! Thank you!

Amazing care! From the Emergency Department to inpatient 5th floor south, I am beyond grateful for the care i received. I spent 6 days as an inpatient and every single nurse and doctor were kind, compassionate and empathetic.

3 weeks ago, I had a hip replacement operation. My surgeon was Dr. Jaroszynski. I just wanted to share what a positive experience it was. All the pre-op and o.r. staff were courteous, professional and very efficient. And again, post-op staff were also courteous, attentive and very professional. Overall, the experience was much better than expected and I have no qualms about having my next operation at Joe Brant. Thank you for your care.

I had the worst experience of delivery at this Burlington location. I delivered the baby recently. Morning staff was so good they took care of each and everything. It was Sarah and joyline(trainee). When the night shift people came in especially Melissa (RN) she was extremely rude. I was in labor pain and my eyes were closed and tried to grab bed but by mistake i touched her hand. I realized she pulled her hand right away. Some people don’t like it understandable. I was shaking with induction and when i asked for warm blanket she refused. When i was almost dilated i was feeling nausea and asked for a bag. She said they are preparing for delivery. She was just sitting and giving instructions to the trainee to gather tools atleast for 10-15 minutes rather than providing me the bag. Ridiculous. Worst RN i have ever seen. Extremely rude and racist. Horrible experience. I don’t recommend this hospital to the mothers delivering baby if you have such kind of staff in your hospital.

Dr. Manjoo and Dr. Baier did such an incredible job with my surgery. The nurses and the physicians assistant also did a great job at making me comfortable before I went into the operating room. Before being rolled into the operating room I was on a bed looking out onto the lake watching the beautiful swans. I felt so at peace. Thank you to the awesome team at Joesph Brant for providing me with comfort and peace of mind before surgery.

Healthcare funding and struggles aside, the team here at Joseph Brant work hard and try to help those in need.

No one wants to visit the hospital but when I had to make a trip and get assessed they took the appropriate steps to investigate what was going on.

That night, Dr. Darren Wong was very helpful and provided confident reassurance with his diagnosis.

A special thank you to nurse Matthew and the rest of the nursing team for providing testing, intake and follow up with care, compassion, and dignity.
