Terrible office: neither my anaesthesiologist nor I can get a hold of the clinic to request essential info about my tests. The clinic simply doesn’t pick up the phone during their work hours and there is no way to leave a message for them. Terrible experience!
An update: had to drive from another city today to corner the clinic personnel. Verdict: kanata mews clinic has 0 respect towards patients or other doctors. I really wanted to leave a better review but the office administrator failed her job again.
Message to the patient: do not support this business. Clinics like that should not exist in our community.
Message to the business owner: rest assured this extreme negligence will be escalated with CPSO, Better Business Bureau and other appropriate organizations. I hope you realize that your behaviour puts at risk patient's health and even life.
Here are the details:
Today morning, I arrived, explained the administrator who I was and that my doctor and I had been waiting for them to send my allergy test results for over a month now so that I don't die from anaphylaxis during my medical intervention. However, that lady instead of apologizing and getting her job done in a prompt manner asked me to wait in line to officially see some doctor at their clinic!..What a nerve!!! I guess to simply charge the government for an unnecessary visit instead of simply doing her job. Excuse me, I have waited over a month and at the end had to invest my time and gas to drive to their clinic as they don't pick up the phone nor answer faxes. I refused to wait and the doctor took me right away.
It is worth mentioning that the administrator lady did not make any attempt to find one of the multiple faxes that the anaesthesiologist had sent to the office. Instead, she asked me to call my anaesthesiologist and ask him to re-send the fax again. So kanata mews clinic does not pick up their phone but they expect others to answer phone calls. Explain me why?!
The only adequate person I saw at the clinic was actually the doctor who was smart enough not to count on the incompetent administrator (probably, he was well familiar with the quality her work) and gave me a hard copy of the test results. He also apologized for the terrible experience I had with their clinic. The doctor asked me to sign a consent to share my personal information and said that was why they did not respond to the faxes. Why did not you communicate this back to the anaesthesiologist?!? You should have some respect to your colleague and the patient and at least communicate your requirement!
After talking to the doctor, I gave the anaesthesiologist's fax number to the administrator lady as instructed by the kanata mews clinic doctor, so that she could send the fax right away. She failed again as the anaesthesiologist's office called me later that day and said that they still had no fax.
When leaving kanata mews clinic, I told the administrator lady that they don't pick up the phone and that they should thank the pharmacy (they share the space) for doing her job as I called them earlier that morning to confirm the clinic was opened before driving from another city. She looked into my eyes and lied with no remorse about their "call policy". She said that kanata mews clinic does not pick up the phone for anyone and that the patient is supposed to call the pharmacy to ask about the clinic business. She made this up because an automatic message from the pharmacy asks to call the clinic directly. She also tried to accuse my anasthesiologist of using a wrong fax number and that is why she did not receive any faxes. So were there faxes but you silently wanted my consent or there were no faxes?! Make your mind. She gave me the fax number so that I ask my anaesthesiologist to re-send the fax to that number..The anaesthesiologist did re-send the fax again, but kanata mews clinic did not send any test results to him, as I mentioned before. I know this because the anaesthesiologist followed up with me today afternoon. Shame on you kanata mews clinic.
