I was initially drawn to this clinic by the handful of 5 star reviews. I have to commend the friendly demeanor of the staff, but my experience was deeply troubling and disappointing. I've never had issues with blood draws before, I'm heavy set so my veins are a bit deeper than a leaner person, but I've always had success getting my blood drawn in various clinics over the years. This time was completely different. After multiple failed (painful) attempts to find my vein, I had to leave and seek care elsewhere.

Reflecting on my experience, several concerning practices stood out:

1. Lack of Basic Hygiene Protocols: The older gentleman attempting to draw my blood was not wearing gloves. This is a fundamental breach of basic hygiene and safety protocols in any medical setting.

2. Questionable Technique: They were tapping around to locate a vein with their bare hands, then used an alcohol swab to disinfect the area, only to tap again with their bare finger before inserting the needle. This completely undermined the sterilization process and raises serious concerns about infection control.

3. Unusual Marking Method: They marked the injection site with a permanent marker—a practice I have never encountered in any medical setting. This seemed highly unprofessional and unnecessary.

4. Painful and Ineffective Procedure: Despite multiple painful attempts, they were unable to locate a vein and resorted to wiggling the needle under my skin, causing significant discomfort. This level of incompetence is unacceptable.

5. They told me that I was "dehydrated" and needed to come back the next day because I needed to rest my vein...go figure. I came back extra hydrated, more painful poking, no blood. At that point I felt very uncomfortable and left the clinic.

For comparison, I went to another clinic nearby where the staff were professional, hygienic, and efficient. They located my vein and completed the blood draw painlessly on the first try.

I am genuinely alarmed by the practices at this clinic and feel compelled to warn others. The lack of adherence to basic medical standards and hygiene protocols is not only unprofessional but potentially dangerous. I strongly recommend seeking care elsewhere. I am seriously thinking of making a report on this place because this experience does not sit right.
